November 11th, 2016 - 3:27pmDMP, Evil & Fury
The Monitor
November 11th, 2016 - 6:03pmThose three, reflecting the top three are the best choices for either quality or length.
DMP on length. It’s as long as three normal stories and is fascinating at times
Evil on excellence and also length
Fury on visuals, and story.
Completely agree with you!

November 11th, 2016 - 12:16pmWhy is ‘The Crusade’ not on the list? If it’s because it’s already available (with audio for episodes 2 & 4) on the ‘Lost in Time’ DVD set, why then would ‘Galaxy Four’ be included, when a photographic, CGI, clips reconstruction alongside episode 3 was included with ‘The Aztecs’ DVD release. I understand though why ‘Galaxy Four’ is fairing poorly in this poll. As it’s reconstruction with the existing episode 3 was very good and I think for many, more than adequate.

November 11th, 2016 - 12:33pm‘The Savages’ is missing as well. So I think it wasn’t left out but simply forgotten

November 11th, 2016 - 12:34pmThought it had a release with the space museum but now rember that was VHS where it did have its own release
The Monitor
November 11th, 2016 - 6:07pmThe Savages is one of the most unloved stories anyway sadly, despite the excellent Frederick Jaegar, so most people would not consider it.
The Crusade you get a good enough sense from the two episodes we have.
Galaxy Four reconstruction is very good, and tagging it on as a special feature was wrong; it deserved its own spine. That said, with what we have, a full 90 minute animation version would be just too much. The concise version is excellent for modern audiences.

November 12th, 2016 - 11:13am‘Galaxy Four’ was a very good reconstruction alongside episode 3 (Airlock). I wouldn’t think there is any real need to re-release the story. It works fine as it currently is.

The Crusade came out on vhs with The Space Museum. No episodes exist at all from The Savages, just a few clips.
I quite like The Savages. I find the whole draining of life forces element rather creepy and as near to vampirism as Doctor Who got in the Hartnell era.

November 12th, 2016 - 6:53pm‘The Savages’ is ridiculously underrated. It’s one of those stories that if found would be re-appreciated I’m sure.
prototype dalek
November 11th, 2016 - 8:54amEvil of the Daleks, Wheel in Space, Master Plan and The Abominable Snowmen. Cant go wrong with Daleks, Cybermen and the Yeti

November 11th, 2016 - 8:14amMany People are already jumping to conclusions
When there is a story with to full episodes and another two that need to get animated.

November 11th, 2016 - 8:10amHere a very very very very under rated story
The Crusade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

November 11th, 2016 - 7:32amWould they animate episodes even though they still exist? If they would do “Daleks’ Masterplan” (with “Mission” of course which I would want to have in a separate DVD case) they would have the option of skipping episodes 2, 5 and 10 or do animations for those as well. That way they could show a complete cartoon in widescreen and colour.
My best guess for the next story to be animated is “Fury from the deep”. It’s a great story that many people would want to see and it is lost completely and they wouldn’t have to bother with existing material

November 11th, 2016 - 6:23amI voted Marco Polo, The Celestial Toymaker and The Macra Terror. Three gems of the black and white era, two of which are often overlooked.

November 11th, 2016 - 4:10amI wish someone at Disney ( since they spent 4 billion dollars to purchase Marvel, and equally huge chunks of change for Star wars, and Pixar.) Would be like: Hey check this out, Doctor who has like 14 missing stories…Lets fund that cause it’s chump change…
Jay Glover
November 11th, 2016 - 8:12amYeh, Disney do have the rights to show Doctor Who on Disney XD
Maybe they could cash in a little more
Demdike@CultLabs
November 11th, 2016 - 11:07amThat would be good. The only problem for the BBC would be that Disney would want first runs of them on their channels not on the BBC, especially BBC America.

November 10th, 2016 - 11:14pmno ‘The Crusade’?

November 11th, 2016 - 8:16amExactly
Doctor Mysterio
November 10th, 2016 - 11:11pmLet’s hope that one day, in the not too distant future, all the remaining missing stories are animated.
Number 6
November 11th, 2016 - 12:01amThat depends on the BBC. Don’t forget that the BBC mysteriously tweeted a year ago (June 25th, 2016), that they are hoping to release more Classic Doctor Who DVDs. There could be a possibility that more missing episodes are being recovered, but who knows?
What’s good about having missing stories being animated (e.g. Power of the Daleks), because we know the original episodes are still there elsewhere, but it is least likely ones to be returned and might take years to find. At the moment, just enjoy and wait and see what treats the BBC brings to us!

November 10th, 2016 - 10:25pmI’m going to cheat!!! How about The Faceless Ones/Evil of the Daleks as a boxset, as one leads into the other! The Abominable Snowmen and for sheer scale TDMP
Dalekparadigm2
November 10th, 2016 - 9:07pmBasically, I believe ALL Dalek stories should be recreated. Then I went Celestial Toymaker…
Daz
November 10th, 2016 - 9:09pmMe too
prototype dalek
November 11th, 2016 - 8:51amSame, and the either the Wheel in Space or the Macra Terror
koloth
November 10th, 2016 - 8:37pmI went mostly historic-
The Myth Makers
The Dalek Master plan
The Massacre
The Dalek Whovian
November 10th, 2016 - 6:26pmAny episode would be fine with me. But If I were in charge of what would be animated first, I would animate all missing Dalek and Cyberman episodes first, because I feel like they are the most important lost episodes and I am properly quite biased for 60s Dalek and Cybermen.
TheDaleksDeath
November 10th, 2016 - 4:45pmMaster Plan, Evil and Wheel.
The Dalek Whovian
November 10th, 2016 - 6:26pmAgreed
The real master
November 10th, 2016 - 7:21pmThe good thing about them they all have at least one surviving episode, less for them to animate
Jay Glover
November 10th, 2016 - 4:26pmBehind my need for the crusade to get animated
I would choose TDMP and the highlanders and marca terror
Peter
November 10th, 2016 - 4:16pmDaleks Masterplan for its epic scale.
Celestial Toymaker for its fun concept.
The Faceless Ones for its frightening concept.
ahunter8056
November 10th, 2016 - 4:05pmAbsolute top number one is Evil of the Daleks.
Any of the rest would still be decent, but in my view Evil of the Daleks needs to come first.
Secondly would be The Wheel in Space. Thirdly is joint between The Celestial Toymaker and The Abominable Snowman.
Jordan Scott
November 10th, 2016 - 3:48pmThe Evil of the Daleks, The Daleks’ Masterplan and Mission to the Unknown
Ollie
November 10th, 2016 - 3:19pmThe Savages?
It’s interesting after watching ‘Power’ that most fans agreed the animation for ‘The Invasion’ was the strongest project to date when neither of the episodes animated (episode 1 and episode 4) had telesnaps taken by John Cura at the time.
Personally, I feel the strength of ‘Power’ (in my opinion, the best animated project to date!) as an animated reconstruction lies in the fact it looks so similar to the original. I can’t see how you can animate stories such as ‘The Myth Makers’ and ‘The Massacre’ effectively when there is so little visual material.

November 10th, 2016 - 1:53pmWould love to see animations (please BBC) for:
1. Fury from the deep – favourite 2nd Doctor adventure; Quatermass-like, brooding and scary!
2. The Dalek’s Masterplan – A truly epic (and long!) 1st Doctor adventure with the Daleks, Mavic Chen, Meddling Monk, Sara Kingdom, Steven and more!
3. Evil of the Daleks – first appearance of Victoria, Skaro, Dalek Civil War, the ‘human’ factor, the dalek factor, Doctor playing ‘trains’ with daleks, fan-favourite
4. The Macra Terror – another good 2nd Doctor adventure with Ben, Polly, Jamie, songs(!), good cast and good cliffhangers!
Mark Belsom
November 10th, 2016 - 1:39pmWhat a difficult vote,I’d have any missing story animated.
Tim M
November 10th, 2016 - 1:38pmI went for 1) ‘Evil of the Daleks’. 2) ‘The Dalek Master Plan’. 3) ‘The Faceless Ones’. If I could have chosen a fourth it would have been ‘The Celestial Toymaker’.
Demdike@CultLabs
November 10th, 2016 - 12:48pmI’d be delighted with any to be honest.
Perhaps something like The Space Pirates which i don’t own on audio and am not over familiar with the story.
The Living Shadow
November 10th, 2016 - 12:34pmLove and Monsters?
The Outcast
November 10th, 2016 - 12:45pmHa ha ha ha…
NO!
The Dalek Whovian
November 10th, 2016 - 6:30pmOf course not Love and Monsters is already perfect
Trenzalore
November 10th, 2016 - 12:26pmReally feels likely we’ll see another one animated and i hope people are still searching for these stories.
I would love:
The Faceless Ones
Marco Polo
The Abominable Snowmen

November 10th, 2016 - 11:58amDefinitely picked from the completely missing story collection…
– Marco Polo
– The Macra Terror
– Fury from the Deep
Number 6
November 11th, 2016 - 12:04amI also voted for these. Can’t wait to see what treats BBC brings to us!

November 10th, 2016 - 1:40pmI watched the recon of the Savages,it’s actually not a bad story.
The Sons of Skaro
November 10th, 2016 - 11:34amFury, Evil and Masterplan.
The Outcast
November 10th, 2016 - 11:48amSame!

November 10th, 2016 - 11:14amHi All. Why no Crusade. Its never had a complete DVD release. Even though the two episodes are on The LOST IN TIME collection, the same could be said for Galaxy four or Evil of the Daleks. Which have also only had , everything thats left, on DVD.
I might have missed the point (my default mode 🙂 )
The Outcast
November 10th, 2016 - 11:52amI think they would do all the Dalek/Cybermen/popular stories first before animating other less known/less popular stories.
Koquillion
November 10th, 2016 - 3:28pmone of the issues with the crusade would be the blackface used, how would you animate it? considering how ‘inclusive’ the beeb are trying to be lately, i doubt the crusade will be coming anytime soon. shame though as the crusade is one of my favourite episodes!
Jay Glover
November 10th, 2016 - 7:58pmLook at power of the Daleks especially the cliff hanger for episode 5
Compare it to the surviving footage.

November 11th, 2016 - 6:19pmBBC Worldwide have said they won’t fund it, BBC America might, but that’s their business.
