    I see that they still can’t get Dalek Alpha’s hemispheres right… 😥

He still also has an oval in his mid section and a genesis style gun. I don’t know what colour his hemis are meant to be, it’s hard to tell in comics, I personally prefer them black.

Nice looking Daleks apart from the join at the front of the neck bins. That is bad, I know they are cheap but that makes them look cheap and poor quality. The Red Dalek are not lined up right.

to be fair “in hand” its hardly noticeable ( to me anyway) enlarged images tend to over exaggerate any flaws

Crazy awesome. Great choice for a special set. I had to go back and read the comic. Very happy to see my favorite Doctor Who comic artist have one of the characters he drew come to life as well (Dalek Alpha).

Just picked up all three sets from TRU Peterborough. They got them in yesterday’s delivery, but as of 3.30 p.m.today hadn’t put them out in the shop. After the ‘If it’s not on the shelf we haven’t got it’ and ‘Have you tried click and collect?’ conversations, I asked a different member of staff who went to check in the stock room and came back with the goods!
I think they’re a bit pricey at £14.99 a set, but didn’t want to risk waiting to see if they do a 3 For 2 later…..

These Daleks are a must have if you’re a keen follower of the comics of if you want to do your own stop-motion adventures with more original models!

I think these would compliment a squadron of 70’s Daleks very well. I hope they release an ‘Asylum of the Daleks’ type version of these two-packs with a metallic Dalek Drone and a metallic Dalek Strategist. Personally, I believe the New Dalek Paradigm are long overdue in this new scale.

5″ Dalek Collector’s Set 1 sold very well! I can’t find it anywhere.

    • The Monitor

      October 30th, 2014 - 5:53pm

The Dalek Collector Set sold so well, that it got remade and rereleased. There are 4-5 differences between original and re-release.

There is a simple rule with Doctor Who, which has applied for nearly 50 years. Daleks sell, everything else Doctor Who, however good, is probably not going to sell so well.

We all want TARDIS / K9 / Baker / Pertwee / other to be the equal selling points but Dalek will always win.

I always see it in my local FP store, and they never seem to sell any also, was there even a collector set 2?! Not hating or anything, just observing.

In my local B&M there was 2 collector set 2s for a month (maybe one of them was sold), then when the 3 figure packs arrived they restocked the dalek sets as well. I gues they have to sell well if they got new stock. (I mean, 3 5″ daleks for 10 pounds, that’s quite a good price)

Well done for buying it. I think it is fabulous.

Yes I also have the original, which I took carefully out the packaging last weekend to find leaking batteries as I suspected.

The packaging is just awesome and sits pride of place on my shelf at the mo…

Also I still maintain Alpha should have silver hemispheres…

You know, as when the Web of Feat was found. Someone did show a picture of a Yeti figure (5 inch) but I am not so sure if this was to be happened. Remember a few months ago or can have been probably a year ago, someone have shown a image of a prototype Second Doctor in woolly coat (5 inch). The question is, why both of them hasn’t yet released?
So far, the only new 5 inch Regenerated Fourth Doctor figure in single package. Let’s wait and be patient, hope more 5 inch figures coming.

Well, out of the three TRU exclusives we’ve had this month, the RC K9 is the only one that’ been officially announced before turning up in a store, as far as I’m aware? Anyway, what I’m trying to say is there probably won’t be an official announcement before we find it in store 😆

I think it’s very clever of CO to have produced the classic and RTD Dalek moulds, and then release them multiple times in different colour schemes-I can see that they will sell well. The only downside is thinking how to incorporate these ‘poetic licence’ Daleks into my FA 😀
