Highly detailed and realistic action figure collection that celebrates 50 years of Doctor Who. Each pack includes a fully poseable 5-inch Doctor and a free-wheeling Dalek from the same era that features moveable eye stalk and gun arm.

The Fifth Doctor with Dalek (Resurrection of the Daleks): His youthful appearance belied his wisdom and experience, but this Doctor still found it frustrating that so many people questioned his judgement, especially his companions. While on an alien planet he and his companion Peri contracted a disease and the Doctor gave Peri the only cure, necessitating another regeneration

I think the colour is based on the publicity shot with the Dr and Tegan. Looks nice.

RenegadeD is their any quality control issues on the Dalek in this Set, e.g the Eyestalk? Because if that’s the case I’ll buy tis and the other 2 Sets in store when their out. I’m just wondering because I’m not sure whether it was the angle they were taken from but The Dalek’s Eyestalk looks bent. Just wondering.

    Hi guys,

I now own one of the old Resurrection Daleks and can now confirm that the main colour is exactly the same on this new release. The only additions are orange head lights, silver mesh and silver detailing on the plunger.

It is a vast improvement on the original and well worth getting in my opinion!

I am temped to get the set, as one of my favorite supreme daleks was the black and white one.

I don’t think any Dalek in this story had orange lights but it is nice we now have a matching pair of the two variants from resurrection – grey mesh and light mesh. 🙂

Sorry out of topic, does anyone know why in the 50th anniversary year there the least amount of sets and figures out there??? it doesnt make sense to me..

There is a lot to come if you look at the whole picture but i know what you mean

the argument seems to be that we are not in the 50th year yet, just the lead up to it

The other problem is we are finding out about stuff months before its release which never used to happen

    • Moid

      August 9th, 2013 - 4:21pm

It does seem odd. If Al Dewar on Twitter is not doing a Moffat and telling a few gentle fibs, then the next wave of 3.75″ isn’t until after Christmas either, which seems strange from a sales point of view. And of course, no 5″ 12th Doctor or John Hurt.

Not just figures either… where’s the actual show??

  • Tardis’nt

I thought that this one was supposed to be darker than the other one – which is supposed to have been a really light blueish grey colour?

The Revelation Dalek is the really dark grey one and the Resurrection one is light/bluey grey 🙂

Mmmmm, that’s the problem lol. The Dalek seems to look different in every picture I take as the light changes. The most recent picture shows the very dark Revelation Dalek on the left and the brand new Resurrection one on the right. Hopefully that shows the contrast 🙂

Will there be the next three in wave 3 and then the last two in wave 4? If so, they need them both in the next 4 months in time for the anniversary.

The Third Doctor is coming out before the Eighth according to Al Dewar so it seems likely there will be two further waves.

Although by the sounds of things TRU have commissioned a further two sets, so they might add on to the fourth wave to fill it up a bit or be separate.

That Dalek is really, really good! I don’t love it enough to justify buying the set, I am splitting the set with a friend and having the Doctor variant, but it’s an excellent choice and will be a welcome addition to any Dalek collection.

And how long do you think it will be until the next wave is announced?

8th will by a mile, if all sets have the same quantity then get this one quick.

very possibly followed by the 11th then 3rd, 1st and 4th.

i think it will be at least a couple on months

      August 6th, 2013 - 5:52pm

Thanks booboo, I’m definitely getting 8th, that’s Very helpful!

    • DoctorArkham

      August 6th, 2013 - 6:42pm

I hope 8 doesn’t sell out in my Toys R Us, but my hopes are high due to the fact that the Doctor Who stuff doesn’t sell out really quickly. They had the Christmas Adventure Set until May this year, they also have a heavy stock of Smilers and Francescos as well as the 3.75″ range, which has sold a bit. They still have loads of the Twin Packs as well as the Junk TARDIS and the TARDIS Interior. Oh, and a Series 5 Six Pack, as well as the Series 6 one.

    • Moid

      August 6th, 2013 - 7:24pm

It will be about two and two-third months between the 1st and 2nd waves, so if they did that length of time again it would put the third around early November for the final 4. Which makes sense – just before the 50th, and a few weeks before Christmas.

    • The Supreme Dalek

      August 6th, 2013 - 7:27pm

Same, I wouldn’t say my local Toys R us in East Kilbride sells much Doctor Who stuff either. I also had the Christmas Adventure Set for a while, and the Series 6 five pack.
Smilers and Francesco the Vampire flood the section, as well as some Cybermats! It has only a few 3.75″ figures, and about 6 Doctor/Dalek Sets (2 of each).

Just ordered these 3 from TRU as they have a free delivery offer. Also all 3 of these have variant on both the Doctor and the Dalek…only the 10th Doctor did from the last batch…unles you count the change in colour in Dalek (ear) lights in the 2nd Doctor pack as a true variant.
