January 27th, 2012 - 8:38pmI honestly think the Daleks are now going to have to become good guys, they’re not the evil menace they originally were, and that’s the biggest understatement I have ever made. ❗
The current daleks have been mass-marketted to the point where they’re now just a child’s play thing, they aren’t even scary looking anymore, they’re plastic, man-made, colourful, fun, not threatening or feared atall.
Terry Nation would be against this if he were still around, I have no doubts about that.

He has mentioned that he will.
And we have not seen the last of the bronze Daleks, apparently > 😉 😉 😉 !!!

January 28th, 2012 - 10:07amI think that statement would have been equally valid almost 50 years ago! By the time serials like ‘The chase’ came about, the Daleks were getting very silly.
As for Terry Nation, Daleks were his real money spinner- he was happy to milk them for all they were worth and they made him a fortune.

January 28th, 2012 - 3:20pmHmmmmm. To be fair were the bronze Daleks any more threatening? Atleast we’ve got something new. The Bronze Daleks were getting old and people were tired of seeing them. 😛 Steven Moffat has the right idea of not bringing the Daleks back every season. It shouldn’t be a common sight to see them. Russle T Davis made them come back so much that it was like “Oh look, the Daleks are back. I wonder how the Doctor will beat them this time….”. When the Daleks appear it sohuld be an almost scary, menacing shock to see them again.

February 1st, 2012 - 11:56amInteresting all your views. Yes, reminds me that Terry Nation was like that.
Although the Bronze Daleks may have been used badly (they were simply just too stupid, and they overdid the in-human side of them Doctor: “No” Daleks: “What is the meaning of this negative ?!!!!!” ) ❓
And yes, it is true they had become too familiar.
Personally I think the best thing would be to introduce a new breed of Daleks, like the old gray Daleks with new design , but NOT to have them look so unthreatening + man made ! ❗

Come on CO ! Are you making more ? if not ,then I quit buying from the 5″ line of the new series. What’s the point if they won’t even bother to make the figures of the Series ?
CO have really gone halfed with the latest line up, the figures were overall a good quality, which makes it all the more a shame they aren’t bothering to make these key cahracters from the Series.
No Minotaur from God Complex, no Doctor from Closing time (HEllO ? He’s got a new costume!)
