They really should make 5.5 inch Bill and Nardole figures now that there are Titans of them.

There’s definitely going to be a 5.5″ Bill figure for sure as Pearl Mackie was scanned for a figure last year and has seen the prototype. I doubt we’ll see a Nardole as I don’t think his character is popular enough to get made so we’ll probably see a red velvet Twelfth Doctor instead.

    • TheAgeOfUltron

      October 20th, 2017 - 8:23pm

Where did you hear about Pearl getting scanned and seeing a prototype?

    • booboo

      October 20th, 2017 - 8:25pm

she said herself at a convention, she has also seen a prototype but that was months ago now

    • TheAgeOfUltron

      October 20th, 2017 - 8:36pm

Oh, hopefully they haven’t cancelled it if it was to be a figure of her.

P.S. Did she mention whether it was 5.5 inch or possibly Titan?

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      October 20th, 2017 - 9:30pm

She didn’t mention if it was 5″ no, but I assume it was. “Hopefully” it will be one of the items that Seven20/UT will soon be announcing.

    • The Outcast

      October 21st, 2017 - 4:06am

I really wish we had a date of when to expect an announcement of whatever it is they are talking about. Even if it isn’t a 5.5 action figure, it’d still be good to have a confirmed date for it or multiple its.

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      October 21st, 2017 - 8:07am

So do I, then it would save us having to guess when to expect it. I feel that them dragging out the wait for the announcement is ultimately going to backfire when they actually anounce what products they have as they won’t be what everyone expects and a lot of people are going to be be left feeling disappointed if they either aren’t new 5″ figures or if they’re not the figures people hoped for.

    • The Outcast

      October 21st, 2017 - 9:08am

Agreed on that last point, although even then, people will still complain if their favourite characters Lord Sutcliffe, Hazran and Darll Ren aren’t released.

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      October 21st, 2017 - 9:47am

That is true. I don’t understand why they can’t just announce whatever figures or items they have straight away without making people wait. People will be excited once they see actual pictures of any new figures anyway, they don’t need to make people wait ages not knowing when we’ll hear anything from them.

    • The Outcast

      October 21st, 2017 - 10:01am

Hopefully we’ll get some news today or tomorrow and not by December or something like that.

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      October 21st, 2017 - 10:37am

Within the next week is the best time to do it, otherwise if they leave it any longer people will forget about it and lose interest.

Won’t happen! Not a big enough market in the USA for them to warrant splashing out cash on something people won’t buy. Same unfortunately for the Classic series as well!

    • Lightningboy

      September 5th, 2017 - 3:53pm

You say not a big enough audience in the US?..just exactly who are these things aimed at exactly?..what age range?.

    • Anonymous

      September 6th, 2017 - 12:17pm

Anyone who is prepared to buy them. I would say more likely enthusiasts, but obviously collectors & the odd impulse buy.

    • Lightningboy

      September 6th, 2017 - 4:14pm

Do they actually do any market research into who would happily buy the OldWho Titans or are they just assuming that fans of these things are just kids interested in NewWho?

I’m guessing that a lot of sales are by “older” collectors seeing as they’re bringing out ranges such as the original Ghostbusters,Alien,Pulp Fiction & Kill Bill..surely customers in that age bracket would be interested in more OldWho figures?

As i’ve said before,it’s a fantastic little range but it’s really annoying when you see so many opportunities here just swept under the carpet in favour of for me far inferior series of Titans.

    • booboo

      September 6th, 2017 - 4:45pm

yes they do, 80% of the market is in the USA and its well established “classic” stuff does not sell well there

Some nice additions here, particularly Sarah Jane..such a shame though that yet again a Roger Delgado Master has been omitted..I agree with some of the other posts re Classic Who sets – the possibilities are endless, shame it’s all down to the US market..Titans make some great other stuff but also a lot of guff.

it was not the cost but the case numbers

The Boxes now contain 18 not 20 so have been reduced from £149 to £129 accordingly

The cost individually wouldn’t be effected

I can tell you for a fact that Titan will not do anything but Nu Who. The USA is the biggest market for these, so Classic will not sell at all. Anything 4th Doctor related will sell in the US because of the PBS market, which ran the 4th. Doctor’s adventures in the States. The market for Classic Who is related to a very small minority in the States and would not warrant Titan splashing out cash on something they won’t get a big return on.

    • fx electric

      June 21st, 2017 - 11:02pm

£7.99 is ridiculous for a item that you have no way at all of knowing what is inside.

The worst part is that i have seen other figures of these Titan things in charity shops (thrift store to our usa friends) and they get price tags of £10-£15. I once asked if it was a mistake and the woman in the shop explained that a staff member knew it was a collectable and so it was placed in the glass cabinet.

I did ask to take a photo so i can prove myself, but they dont allow filming or photography in the shop.

For everyone complaining about the “Super and ultra rare” and how you are not buying this collection due to it, get over yourself. Unless you have EVERY SINGLE figure that TITAN has ever released, you have nothing to complain about.

And sure, TITAN dropped it to 18 boxes, but they also dropped the price as well. They didn’t have to. There are a lot of people who’ve worked hard on this collection and if you are going to sit here and complain, then don’t be a part of this community of collectors.

Don’t be apart of this community of collectors!! Really!! everyone has their own opinion but I have to say collecting isn’t what it was when you had true collectors trying to get these, now it’s all about people just selling them on at stupidly high prices just to make a quick profit from the true collectors.

This reminds me of all the Character Building Super Rares. It was pointless trying to go after them as they were so Limited & so expensive. I managed to scrape together the basic sets but that was it. Unless you are prepared to spend a large amount of money hunting down Titan Hot Topic Exclusives from the US (If you can find them?) & spending £50 every 2 months or so now, for an Exclusive Titan Tardis Nerdblock Figure you won’t be able to keep up. I’m 4 figures behind already & there is no way I am paying £250-£300 for a Titan 3″ Ultra-Rare from this new set. I’ve already been told that the price from my Retailer for this new set is going up, so sadly that’s the end of Titans for me. A real pity as well, as I love this new set & have enjoyed collecting them all. But enough is enough!

This looks great and I’m definitely going to pick one up!

However the new format of TITANS, I don’t like. 18 vinyls in total, 6 of which are chase/”ultra-rare”? In other words, a third of this case is going to be pretty much unavailable to anyone other than Ebay scalpers. When it says one super rare and one ultra rare, does that mean there’s only one of each in existence? Or that there’s only one variant for both?

      It works out as:

One Ultra-Rare Figure (Of which you will find 1 in every 576 Figures)
One Super-Rare (Of which you will find 1 in every 288 Figures)
Four Rare (Of which you will find 2 in every 72 Figures)

Sorry, but Titan can count me out this time!

Sadly I knew that eventually my patience with Titan would run out & this literally is that point. Now that the case design has been changed & we only now get 18 in a case & 6 of them are chases is really annoying. Two of them being a Super Rare & Ultra Rare make’s it just easier for ebay scalpers. I love this Wave but what with the Hot Topic Rares & now Nerdblock Exclusives it’s time to give up.

*Its always nice to get more companions, and the detailing on these seems suppurb.
*The tardis console makes for a nice change from the numerous out of scale repaints in every other wave.
*I wonder if the face of boe will just be the face and the front of the tank, or if the back of the tank will be present also.
*I knew if we gave it enough time, a semi-naked Matt Smith figure would appear in some line (might have been more interesting in the 5″ line though /: , )Still, something to keep the fan girls happy.
