im not complaining about the video but is that coat supposed to be hanging from the middle because when i play with my figures with the eleventh doctor figure i hope it isnt lumpy

    • Sebatron

      October 11th, 2014 - 12:13am

Yeah the waist coat is held on with two pegs on the coat that go into holes. But it takes a bit of fiddling to make it go sort of flat.

Probably a good idea, I got a war doctor from America and got a large customs fee. If you order from popcultcha, inc. postage it’s only 6 quid less than FP.

I’ve been buying Doctor Who stuff across the world for years now. I live in the U.S. and I bought most of my Who stuff from Great Britain. I’ve never had a problem with customs. Worst thing that has happened to me was wait a few extra days for my stuff to get past customs but other then that its been smooth transactions.

    • The Silent Silent

      October 9th, 2014 - 5:51pm

Yeah, that is because if you Order from the UK TO USA you don’t pay anything but if if its the other way round we get stung.

  • Exterminator

    October 8th, 2014 - 2:24pm

I’ve cancelled the set I preordered from fpi for £29.99! I’ve got one on the way from popculcha.

I ordered it when it worked out at £14.99 and £6 p&p. I still think it’s crazy that it’s cheaper to order it from Australia than to buy it from the uk.

  • Oracle

I hope this is a sign that this will come soon to the Uk, the new pictures make it look even better! I just wish that the older 11th Doctor head looked as it did In the first pictures. Also I wish Capaldi looked angrier, his eyebrows should be striking fear into me not making me laugh! It isn’t all bad though, I can definitely see it is Peter.

    • Nobody in particular

      October 7th, 2014 - 10:37pm

Yes, sadly it is just the 3.75″ head from the regeneration figure rescaled. It would have been great to see a new headsculpt with more detail on places like the neck.

    • Oracle

      October 8th, 2014 - 6:55pm

Even though it is resized it does look like Capaldi. If he only he looked how he did in Day of the Doctor. Even though it was a few seconds long his eyebrows said it all. For some reason I like the expressions of the figures to reflect on the character. A good example of this is the War Doctor, he looked so tired as if he couldn’t deal with the time war. Other figures usually do this well but when did Capaldi smile and raise his eyebrow in Time of the Doctor?

1 figure, 3 heads, a sonic, a cane & two chest pices (one with bow tie, one with not) and better packaging. a lot more then the war doctor

But the price doesn’t need to double for a few more accessories!

    • Nicholas

      October 6th, 2014 - 8:54pm

It’s all to do with import fees. These are commissioned by UT – who are American

    • Cpl Hicks

      October 6th, 2014 - 9:20pm

Hey, just curious as the pricing for all figures seems a little erratic sometimes. Seeing this in its packaging it does seem better value, but fact is a bit of cardboard costs nothing…ask Costa Coffee 😉

    • Ian

      October 7th, 2014 - 11:26am

Ace was £19.99 and the War Doctor £14.99. War Doctor I think had far more work done on it.
It might be Import fees, but UT have done other exclusives that have not cost so much. The Impossible set cost £29.99 for two figures, this set has one, with two heads, I guess that is why the cost is high, the cost of tooling.

Here’s what a guy in a comic book store told me. How can you enjoy something if you’re never going to open it. It would be like buying a Christmas present, wrapping it up and then never unwrapping it. I will be opening mine for certain.

    • Balakin

      October 7th, 2014 - 10:21am

that’s true with comics or boxed items (like a playset) but this box is a display in itself, similar to putting the figure on the shelf.
I would definitely open it but I can understand people who won’t do it in case of these illustrious packagings.
