Well let me just say, at the risk of reviving controversies, that I’m already finding after watching part 1 of “The Archive of Islos” this more entertaining than all of series 12.

And this isn’t the only example of sci-fi spin offs (official or fan made) which prove better received than the main programme itself when they should be just hors d’oeuvres.

So do I need to buy Defenders of the Daleks #1 and #2 to then buy the completed TLV comic to understand the story OR can I buy DOTD and not buy TLV complete OR can I skip DORD and buy completed TLV?? I’m confused (look at timeline between September 2nd and November 18th)

Hi, I just tried to order the Big Finish trilogy and short trips CD bundle from the Big Finish website, but on every option it stated the short trips with the Master would be downloads.

Is this correct? A mistake on the website? Or is another bundle coming further down the line with all in the CD format?
I would much rather have a physical copy to complete the set.

The Big Finish Short Trip range is only available on Download to keep costs down for the range. Sometimes (though very rarely) the short trips might find there way onto a huge event boxset (like Masterful or the final Jago & Litefoot box set) but I’d assume in this case Master Thief/Lesser Evils will remain download only. You could always download the files and burn them to a spare disc if you have one

Its a joke – I pre ordered all items on FP and they have failed at the first hurdles. Charged for the comic but not dispatched(Plus £5.50 for the pleasure of late delivery!) and the annual is “when we get stock”.

Cancelled the annual and all non FP exclusives and reordered with amazon – annual arriving today after ordering this morning!!

This isnt a minor release – this has been publicised for months across multiple sources so they should have had their act together, I understand UK bank holiday might delay orders by a day but the comics should be out…….

Its interesting as 10s path shows that items you would expect to be the end are the middle of his story but the end for 8s. im sure it is online somewhere

Wait a minute? So the escape room thing begins the story AND ends the story? That’s so frustrating I have no plans at all of going to the escape room. You can’t say ‘oh you don’t need everything to complete the story’ when come on let’s be real, if you want the whole story then of course you do

I doubt the escape rooms will be a beginning or finale to the story. After all how many fans are going to actually go? Also the other items, books, CDs, comics etc will be available for quite some time but realistically how long will the escape room segments be available? I thing the main storyline will start after the first item and end before the last.

    • SamWho

      August 12th, 2020 - 6:29pm

It’s not a straight line story the first & last releases aren’t the beginning and end they have said you can only get some and still have a full story
The escape rooms will not be integral to the main story because they know not everyone will be able to experience

So that time line gives the Eaglemoss figures as dalek executioner with strategist, dalek commander with scientist and time lord victorious with Brian the ood. In addition to the one we knew about. There seems to be tie in short stories with the figurine magazine. That’s six new daleks. Will they be different enough to justify getting them all? Anywhere or idea when we will get some kind of running order for this?

Im sure those will suggest that its the release order but that doesn’t quite stack up as big finish release their material on their site weeks before commercially available.

Also the comics will be cross pollinating as 9 & 10 will have a comic in progress in multiple parts, do you save them up or read as you go??

Im on this trip of a lifetime (except VR dlc and escape rooms lol) with everything ordered but if theres a real order to read/listen, would be great

i think its all altered, the new description does not mention Sea Devils or the 13th Doctor.

I think its now separate to the ongoing 13th/10th Doctor crossover.

    @the fishmonger:
Thx for the answer – but I‘m from Germany and for all these releases the additional postage is way high. So in the past I ordered via amazon

Doesn’t it sound as though the 8th Doctor’s BF stories were ripped out of the Time War box sets and renamed.

I’m failing to see how any of the Timelord Victorious merchandise is connected at the moment, they don’t even feature the same villain?

Don’t get me wrong I am super excited for it all, I just hope it’s not a blanket title to help sell more of each product. There is a difference between it all being connected, and it all being set in the same universe… everything has been set in the same universe since 1963 (mostly).

Well Brian the Ood and that masked and cloaked figure on the Time Lord Victorious Short Trip covers are on the cover of the The Knight, The Fool and The Dead book cover so we can see connections already

Aren’t the all set in the Dark Times too, so there is another connection.

They will get to Amazon eventually but all Big Finish releases are exclusive to Big Finish website for a few months first. If you’re in the UK I would always order from Big Finish direct because a) they get more of your money than if you order through Amazon and b) you get a digital copy free when you buy a physical copy.

Not sure if the TLV audios will be available elsewhere on initial release because it’s a different collaborative project.

BIG finish is quiet a small company so I always order from them direct when I can!
