Doctor Who The Other (War) Doctor 5″ Figure

The ‘Other Doctor’ is the Doctor’s dark chapter, an _hitherto unknown incarnation whose existence he has spent centuries repressing, a secret he wants no one to know of.
He is a relic of the past, part of the great Time War, when he spent centuries fighting alongside his fellow Time Lords against the Daleks and made the final decision to end it with a desperate act that cost that incarnation the right to use the name “Doctor”.
This haunted and battle-worn Other Doctor is finally forgiven after helping find a new solution to end the war, giving the Eleventh Doctor a new purpose as he heads into further adventures.

April 7th, 2014 - 4:00pmHope everyone who pre – ordered got their figures or at least notification they’re on their way. I got two, and BOTH my McGann heads have a groove running from the lower lip down the chin on the left side. Is this a production run flaw or an ‘injury’ sculpt I wonder?
I think that’s it for me now, though. I have a custom 5″ 12th Doctor, and with no interest in the 3.75″ range and no new classic sets announced, I think this is the year my wallet and CO finally part company. More money freed up to buy TWD,GoT and 2000AD figures, I guess.

It does make me wonder if it was supposed to indicate the injuries Eight sustained after the spaceship crash. Maybe CO were told he looked a bit banged up but didn’t know how, and then changed their minds about highlighting on the paint.
…Or maybe it was just a problem with the mould/tooling for the head. Funny though.

April 7th, 2014 - 12:34pmGot mine today. It’s much smaller than I expected (don’t know why I expected it to be bigger, probably I’m used to the 3.75″ figures) but it’s still an amazing figure. The arm joint is really loose though, like you just have to hold the legs, wobble the figure gently and the arm moves. The joint of the same arm also sticks out. Luckily I did buy another one but I’m keeping that in packaging. Does anyone know how to fix this without damaging it??

Shame that none of the attempts at McGann including the one with this look anything like though…..

The Hurt figure though is superb as is the cube weapon which is intriguing to study. Shame they cant get their fingers out and produce some new classic figures to this standard….
