The Myth Makers
The Myth Makers
by Donald Cotton
read by Stephen Thorne
Long, long ago on the great plains of Asia Minor, two mighty armies faced each other in mortal combat.
The armies were the Greeks and the Trojans, and the prize they were fighting for was Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world.
To the Greeks, it seemed that the city of Troy was impregnable and only a miracle could bring them success.
And then help comes to them in a most mysterious way, as a strange blue box materialises close to their camp, bringing with it the Doctor, Steven and Vicki, who soon find themselves caught up in the irreversible tide of history and legend…Stephen Thorne, who appeared in several episodes of the classic BBC TV “Doctor Who” series, reads Donald Cotton’s complete and unabridged novelisation, first published by Target Books in 1985.

May 7th, 2020 - 12:08pmOk, first comment in nearly 8 years, but this is serious.
I have now two different copies of this CD (The Myth Makers Classic Novel Reading) and on both of them, the last track of CD 2 (track 22) is faulty.
I’ve tried it on no less than 4 different CD/DVD players and 3 of them refused to play track 22 of CD 2.
I know that this came out 12 years ago, but has anybody else had this problem.
I should mention that I purchased both copies from two completely different sources, one used, one new, a good two months apart.
If your reading this and can help thank you!
