An approaching alien spaceship is detected on monitoring equipment at UNIT HQ, where the Brigadier is entertaining two visitors. The ship lands in England and the UNIT team meet its occupants a beautiful golden-skinned race of humanoids called Axons. The Axons claim that their ship, Axos, is damaged and that they need time in which to repair it. In return, they offer Axonite, a substance that can cause produce to grow to enormous sizes and thus end global food shortages.

The Doctor is suspicious, and rightly so, Axos, Axonite and the Axons are all part of one hideous parasitic entity brought to Earth by the Master (played by Roger Delgado) to feed on the planet’s energy and consume it. The Doctor manages to materialise his TARDIS, with the Master on board, at the centre of the Axos ship. Outmanoeuvring the Master the Doctor offers to link the two ships together to make one giant time machine, on condition that Axos in return helps him to take revenge on the Time Lords for exiling him to Earth. The trick works, and Axos is locked in a time loop from which it can never escape. The Doctor returns to Earth in the TARDIS, where he reluctantly admits to the Brigadier that the Master has escaped.

In this exclusive action figure set comes the Master, the arch enemy of the Doctor, as first played by Roger Delgado and the Axon creature. This set comprises of both the Master in his iconic suit with his Tissue Compression Eliminator weapon accessory and an Axon creature as they appeared together in the adventure ‘The Claws of Axos’.

“Omega and The brigadier from the 3 Doctors would perhaps be the only thing that would surpass the Delgado set for me.”

What would really do it for me would be Commander Linx & his Ship. It would be the 1st 5 Inch scale ship that isn’t a TARDIS. As for the Master & Axon set, I’m not sure if I’ll buy it or not. I like the Master, but I hate the Axons.

so is this out now or is it a pre-order because it doesn’t say pre-order on forbidden planet but it is very odd that it’s just come out on the same day a picture was released.

If only we could somehow stop people from buying these sets for £25 as soon as they come out!

These sets are nothing to do with CO, they are commissioned by underground toys and if people don’t buy them for £25 we wont get any more.

I want, but can’t get. Whilst the master is the main point of the set, it’s stupid that it comes with an axon, a little known creature. Also, I don’t have the money for the set 🙁

Yes I can’t wait till i can afford the master and Axon but first I’m saving up for The 5th doctor and the master. I really like the look of the masters so I’m going to buy both of them (if i can.) But first I’m getting the 5th doctor and the Incredible Master!
