The Keeper of Traken Collectors Set – Pictures

The Keeper Traken Action Figure Set

Expected 15th December 2011 price £39.99

The Fourth Doctor and Adric learn from the wizened Keeper of Traken that a great evil has come to his planet in the form of a Melkur – a calcified statue. The Keeper is nearing the end of his reign and seeks the Doctor’s help in preventing the evil from taking control of the bioelectronic Source that is the keystone of the Traken Union’s civilisation.

The Melkur, via various deceptions, becomes the next Keeper. It is then, however, revealed to be the Master’s TARDIS. Its owner, still blackened and emaciated, hopes to use the Source’s power to regenerate himself. The Doctor manages to expel him and install a new Keeper in his place, but in a last minute ploy the Master traps one of the Traken Consuls, Tremas, and merges with his body before fleeing the planet.

Contents:
1 x The Fourth Doctor in Waistcoat action figure.
1 x The Master Decayed action figure.
1 x The Melkur Statue action figure.
1 x Master’s TARDIS as a Grandfather Clock
1 x Source Manipulator Sphere accessory.

Did you know… Dapol produced a Melkur figure which was probably one of their best…

This set is nice, i had to take it back first cos toms eyes were wonky. When I got a replacement, there were purple and green splodges all over the waistcoat. I just keep tgat figure on the shelf now. Everything else was alright, but now I wanna see a nyssa, adric and variant melkur (normal eyes and moss on shoulders) for 29.99. That would be ace!

Finally got the brilliant thing today. Hard to believe it came out MORE THAN a year ago. ❗ Then again, the box was very dust-covered 😆

Will open it on Christmas day, though I am VERY tempted to open it now.

Speak for yourself, the main thing I wanted was the Doctor, he was priority one for me when I was checking all the sets for production faults before I chose one ! 🙂

I was considering that myself, if you jsut bite the bullet and buy it, enjoy it, don’t think about the price afterwards, yes.

Becuase unlike the Seeds of Doom set, this one is acutally well-made, with good figures. We should each buy it, and I know I will.

First though, I was hoping to get the Resurrection set, mostly just for the Doctor in that set. 😉
