The Evil of the Daleks comes to vinyl in a narrated full-cast TV soundtrack adventure.
Demon Music Group presents The Evil of the Daleks, a classic seven-part adventure starring Patrick Troughton as the Doctor, in which the infamous Daleks lay a trap in Victorian England for their oldest enemy. This follows the very successful release of The Daleks’ Master Plan on vinyl. The records will be released on 12th July 2019 and are now available for pre-order. RRP £69.99.

In this classic adventure, first shown on BBC TV between May and July 1967, the Daleks are in search of the Human Factor. What’s more, they intend to use the Doctor and his TARDIS to assist them in their quest for universal domination! Featuring a climactic battle on their home world of Skaro, the story also introduces Deborah Watling as the Doctor’s new companion, Victoria.

Presented across 4 x heavyweight 180g pieces of vinyl this narrated TV soundtrack evokes another classic Doctor Who adventure in all its aural magnificence. From the eerie sonics of Ron Grainer & Delia Derbyshire’s theme tune, and the familiar ‘wheezing, groaning’ of the TARDIS, through to the sounds of alien time technology and the terrifying roar of the Dalek Emperor, the story is alive with weird and wonderful sound.
Written by David Whitaker, this was the Daleks’ final explosive TV adventure of the 1960s.

June 10th, 2019 - 4:07pmKind of strange that in the latest issue of DWM it states 1000 copies are being produced of the exclusive edition and only 500 of the deluxe edition. Surely it should be the other way around?, as this makes the ‘standard’ release more rare than the exclusive edition.

May 19th, 2019 - 1:09pmJust watched a new documentary on the missing episodes on youtube ( i highly recommend it) and i turns out that all the two wonderful people who donated their home recordings of lost episode audios got from the bbc was a tour around a studio floor. When you look at the millions that the beeb have made off these audios over the years, it is really quite disgusting that all they gave the 2 men was a studio tour.

May 19th, 2019 - 10:01pmWell, if not wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t have the audios and the bbc wouldn’t have a lovely money factory. Personally, i just don’t think it is right that they were given so little when the bbc made the decision to junk the films. If you watch the documentary, they were even offered all of series 1 and 2 in the 90s from nigeria and said no! These men are owed so much by us as a fandom and sadly they are all to often forgotten in their importance.

May 26th, 2019 - 11:39amI’m not sure I haven’t read somewhere once that as public sector body that holds a charter from the government and charges a compulsory licence fee, the BBC might not be allowed to pay cash to members of the public for the return of assets. I don’t know what the situation is/was regarding Philip Morris’s company – for example, it may possibly be okay to offer him a % of sales from when the returned assets are later sold to people choosing to purchase them once released. But I don’t know for sure.

May 18th, 2019 - 6:58pmThey (the BBC) certainly like re-releasing stories already available on CD or DVD, and then putting them out on vinyl or blu-ray. They (the BBC) are certainly getting their money’s worth out of the fans. Perhaps the focus on classic Doctor Who releases sells better than the new series stuff. Wouldn’t surprise me. The bulk of classic Doctor Who is much superior to series 11.

Stunning cover too. I do wonder if the price is a bit high, DMP was 99 pounds for 8 discs. This is 70 Quid for 4 Discs. But thats just me had to find something to moan about 😉
