The Eternity Clock exclusively on PlayStation

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock to be available exclusively on PlayStation consoles

We will try to clarify whether this is still coming to PC. There seems to be some confusion.

BBC Worldwide today announced that Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock will be a PlayStation® console exclusive in EMEA. Developed by experienced PlayStation developers SuperMassive Games, Doctor Who:The Eternity Clock will be launched on Playstation®3 and Playstation®Vita when it is released in Spring this year.

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock will immerse gamers in the universe of Doctor Who, allowing them to take on the role of the Doctor and River Song as they travel across time and space to save the Earth in an epic adventure. Featuring specially recorded original voiceovers from Matt Smith (the Doctor) and Alex Kingston (River Song), Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is the ultimate Doctor Who gaming experience. It is the first in a series of console games based on the brand to be announced by BBC Worldwide, marking a significant move into the console gaming business for the Digital Entertainment and Gaming division.

“Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is such an exciting release for us” said Robert Nashak, EVP Digital Entertainment and Gaming, BBC Worldwide. “It’s one of our most ambitious projects to date, using state of the art motion sensor technology to create stunning graphics as well as specially created vocals. We’re delighted that we’re able to team up with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for this release, a company who are so well respected in the gaming universe.”

Zeno Colaço, SVP, Third Party Relations & Operations, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe commented, “Doctor Who is such an iconic franchise, which appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds, worldwide. We are honoured to be able to include it amongst our portfolio of PlayStation console exclusive titles this year.

hhmmm…. Which was your favourite, the least favourite and the scariest episode of Series 6. Mine where:
      Favourite – Night Terrors
Least Favourite – The God Complex
Scariest – (nothing really was scary) Day of the Moon or Night Terrors

    • BOOBOO JR

      January 27th, 2012 - 8:27pm

Favourite – Has to be Closing Time, loved both the episodes with James Corden in, and the cliffhanger was brilliant!

Least Favourite – ??? Really have no idea, loved the wholes series!

Scariest – Have to agree with Day of the Moon, if I had to choose, didn’t find it extremely scary though. Freaked the rest of my family out 😆

      January 27th, 2012 - 8:29pm

Well, of course, DW doesn’t usually scare me…. EXCEPT THE FLOOD!!!!
Let’s talk about MI (again, I love it!!) So what could we say about it??

      January 28th, 2012 - 8:58am

King of the Cybermen I loved Night Terrors too but it’s not in my top 5 but it creeped me out I’ll say that.
      My top 5 were:
A Good Man Goes To War, The Girl Who Waited and Closing Time (these are the first 3 but I don’t know where to rank them as they were so brilliant!)
      The Doctors Wife
The Impossible Astronaut/Day Of The Moon

Interesting. I changed my mind! The one I like the least was The Wedding of River Song:
      13. The Wedding of River Song
      12. The God Complex
      11. Closing Time
      10. The Curse of the Black Spot
      9. Let’s Kill Hitler
      8. The Doctor’s Wife
      7. The Rebel Flesh
      6. Almost People
      5. The Impossible Astronaut
      4. Day of the Moon
      3. The Girl Who Waited
      2. A Good Man Goes to War
      1. Night Terrors!!

    • The Wooden Prince (Previously Admiral Icktheus)

      January 28th, 2012 - 10:00am

      Least favourites were:
The Wedding Of River Song (I think Moffat is excellent but this was his weakest. The phonecall was a beautiful moment though)
The God Complex (Liked it’s classic feel but it didn’t click with me. The end was well acted though)
The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People (After the awful, awful Fear Her Matthew Graham shows us he still hasn’t got it. The Rebel Flesh was a snoozefest and The Almost People, whilst slightly better, made counting sheep look hard. I awoke at the end and loved the cliffhanger. I really didn’t like it)

      January 28th, 2012 - 10:17am

Yes, I agree with TWORS and TGC, but I think Steven Moffat’s finales (The Pandorica Opens, The Big Bang and TWORS) where really shockingly bad!

      My favourite finale must be:
      The Stolen Earth/Journey’s End 🙂

Plus, out of the specials, my favourite is The End of Time, least favourite is A Christmas Carol and scariest The Waters of Mars (which I have only seen once, and too scared too see it again lol) 🙂 🙂

    • The Wooden Prince (Previously Admiral Icktheus)

      January 28th, 2012 - 10:25am

I liked The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang and I thought The Stolen Earth/Journeys End was a waste of Daleks and a waste of my time. It’s like some form of opposite day! Lol
Again I thought A Christmas Carol was the best Christmas special ever and The End Of Time was the worst. I did like The Waters Of Mars though! It’s creepy atmosphere and brilliant acting created a superb mix of awesomeness! 🙂

My opinion on the above comments.

Favourite – The Girl Who Waited

Worst – The Curse of the Black Spot

      Scariest – Night Terrors

Interesting. Well that clarifies certains things and raises different questions. Did they sign an exclusive deal with Sony? If so, it would explain the disappearance of the pc version. (Sony are agressive with exclusives).

Well, we’ll see soon enough I suppose, but the company could have been a little more consistent with its press releases.
