1939, New York. River Song, author of the Melody Malone Mysteries, is forced to find a reality-altering weapon, the Eye of Horus but everyone who comes into contact with it dies. River doesn’t believe in curses but is she wrong? From the top-security confines of Stormcage to the barbarism of first-century Egypt, River battles to find the Eye of Horus before its powers are used to transform the universe.

To succeed, she must team up with a most unlikely ally her own fictional alter ego, Melody. And together they must solve another mystery- Is fiction changing into fact – or is fact changing into fiction?

That cover image is to die for. Stunning design. River By River (now theres an autobiography, that would get redacted 🙂 )

I see also the CD is up. Read of course by River. Brilliant.

It is another very nice cover, I know I bang on abit about cover designs on merchandise.
But if your on the fence about buying an item, a brilliant cover might just make you want to purchase it.

Have to say I think this is one of the best covers for the hardback range. At least river is on there. I never understood why say, pertwee/Delgado weren’t on the harvest of time or troughton wasn’t on wheel of ice covers. Looking forward to this. 7 target books and a river novel plus 4 younger reads out so,far this year. Good reading

Oops. Forgot 15 telos books I’ve just ordered. The three talkback interview books and the full set of 12 time hunter novels which link to who via the telos doctor who novellas and by the appearance of the daemons. Right i think that’s everything. Oh, apart from any new erimem books that get released this coming year. (Love the erimem books, my favourite spinoff series) right that’s definitely it… apart from any more dvd announcements of course!

Seems to be along the same lines Scratchman and At Childhoods End. Sounds interesting though

Yeah, odd how these books seem to have become a thing. Read Scratchman and it was a blast but certainly didn’t expect this sort of thing to happen.

It’s almost like something has happened to cause all these actors who’d ordinarily be working to be locked in with nothing to do but write or something.

Well for this one for sure but Sophie Aldreds book came out Last February and Scratchman a good while before that.
