August 9th, 2016 - 2:35pmIn my opinion, these are the strongest stories in series 2, (except ‘The Idiot’s lantern’)

August 9th, 2016 - 2:54pmI agree, though my favourite episode from this series is ‘The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit’, so behind it would be ‘The Girl in the Fireplace’, ‘School Reunion’ and ‘Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel’ in that order.

August 11th, 2016 - 12:30pmWhy don’t you like School Reunion very much? It’s easily my fourth favourite of series 2…

August 9th, 2016 - 2:11pmAnonymous – that’s exactly right. And then it’s 10 months until the 3rd 12th Doctor book out October 2017 (issue 55), then his 4th book is out as issue 73 in June 2018. As things stand, if they don’t extend beyond 80, then they only have 4 12th Doctor books to spread over nearly 3 years. Same reason we are getting only one Sixth Doctor book approx every 12 months (May 2016, then July 2017 as issue 50, then July 2018 as issue 75) and similar for the Ninth. I suspect they will extend to cover series 9, 10 and 11 – key thing with a partwork is for subscribers to not cancel, to keep the business case from extending healthy. Beyond be a certain point, this kind of publication model stops being about sales in shops. Fingers crossed!

August 8th, 2016 - 5:00pmIts weird because so far we’ve only had 1 twelfth Doctor book, id have thought they’d have been a better option to include more often with it being current?

August 8th, 2016 - 5:41pmTrue

August 8th, 2016 - 5:50pmI think they’re holding back on the 12th doctor volumes because they’ll add on Series 9 and perhaps more (originally, this series was meant to run upto the end of Series 8). Reason for holding back would be to see what happens after Moffatt leaves to see if there will be a new doctor so then they can add to or adjust the spine images… I don’t know just an idea, would be good though 😀

August 8th, 2016 - 9:20pmI believe the next 12th Doctor book is Issue 35, coming out in December, so still a short while to go until the next one I’m afraid. It covers the episodes ‘Robot of Sherwood’, ‘Listen’ and ‘Time Heist’.

August 8th, 2016 - 10:13pmStill possible then, Doctor RevWho, that they’re holding out to add more after series 8…?

August 8th, 2016 - 11:04pmThat’s going to mean we’ve waited a year for another twelfth doctor book since the first one we got
Dr RevWho
August 9th, 2016 - 12:58amPerfectly possible, given how they seem to be releasing the 12th Doctor issues in order, which they aren’t doing with other Doctors, perhaps so it won’t feel so strange should they end up releasing issues about series beyond 8 in order. Plus, on their website, they said that 80 issues is only the number they currently have planned and, if they are popular enough, they hope to expand the collection beyond Series 8, so it is possible.
