For more information on this event please visit www.recordstoreday.co.uk

“If everyone’s vanished, who’s flying this thing?”

Demon Records present an exclusive-to-audio adventure for the Tenth Doctor, written by Dan Abnett and read by David Tennant, accompanied by Murray Gold’s stirring arrangement of the familiar Doctor Who theme.

The TARDIS materialises aboard a pioneering space cruiser travelling from Earth to the planet Eternity. When the passengers and crew suddenly disappear, the Doctor and flight attendant Sugar must stop the ship from crash-landing.

But something awful awaits them on Eternity…

‘…a tightly structured and thoroughly entertaining sci-fi thriller… all backed up by a typically energetic reading from David Tennant’ – SFX magazine

This thrilling story is presented on 2LP Translucent Yellow Vinyl in a widespine sleeve with illustrated inner sleeves, exclusive to Record Store Day’s Black Friday event.

It’s wild that the BBC is still claiming on the headline on their DW site that this story that came out 15 years ago on CD and digital download is a “new story”.

It’s Exclusive to AUDIO. It’s not a book reading.

So it’s still Exclusive to Audio. Regardless when it first came out.

David didn’t say anything about exclusive. It’s just not a new story.
It is “new” to vinyl so that’s how they’ve justified the false selling point

Its a BBC site headline, which isn’t part of the offcial press release on here

Nice to see another RSD exclusive, but I am NOT a fan of these widespine sleeves. I much prefer gatefold. It does come across as a bit of a cost saving exercise.

Agree, gate fold lends the release some gravitas. But many artists are using them of late, Marc Almond, Tori amos, Anhoni/micheal cashmore came this way, which is a shame for all the fabulous painted art, which has text all over.

But fantastic to get another release this year. Expected something (wheel in space? To continue the Cyber Theme) . Davison or C Baker collection to join Pertwee and T Baker.
