This is stunning. The Artwork is beautiful. I assume it’s the Oink collective, who have done all the latest releases.

But I love listening to the Vinyl. It’s so much more , enjoyable for me, than a CD. Odd isn’t it.

Just hope I can get one.

Limited edition of 1500 according to Demon Records website, so that should be enough to go round.

Are these previously released audio content from the 3 CD releases of the past Christmases just on records? Or, is there any new content not available on the CD’s?

    Thanks!

Yes they are. Looks like side A is from the first Dalek Audio Annual and side B is from the second. So there is nothing exclusive here. All available on CD and download now!

The first two stories are from “Terry Nation’s Dalek Audio Annual”. The last two stories are from the second Dalek audio annual called “Dalek Attack: Blockade & Other Stories”. “The bonus briefings” listed here were also on those two Audio Annual releases. So, it sounds like there’s no new audio content. Just some fabulous Dalek art.

Generally these have a very niche market and are limited production, so producing new content for these just wouldn’t be cost effective sadly.

I think most people buy these for the sound quality of vinyl and the artwork.

Very nice, but not especially sensible to be going out to a record store at the minute, is it?

      Most record shops deliver.

@Duncan Parsons – Most record stores don’t actually know what they’ll be getting until the last minute for Record Store Day and if past events are to go off it usually means queueing outside before the shop opens because all releases are very limited and disappear quickly. You’d be very fortunate to have them send something out to you.

I gave up on the whole Record Store Day idea when i waited patiently at my local shop to buy a Motorhead pic disc which they never got in stock anyway. There are so many releases for the day that no shop could stock them all.

i have seen some post out if they have any left but many sell out on the day, the idea of this day really is to get people in-store and support the independent record stores

Demdike@CultLabs is absolutly correct! My record store once ordered 40 of an item and got shipped 2 of it, and that’s one example. So they really don’t know what will be arriving ven if they ordered it.
