March 6th, 2012 - 3:46amI picked Doctor w/ Stetson, but that’s as much liking the idea as anything else.
I just bought the series 5 variant River for my daughter and am still surprised there aren’t more River options available. I could figure on 4 from this season alone that would be cool. Shame, that.

March 6th, 2012 - 9:26amI do agree. There has been much less figures produced for the current Series than normally there would be.
With Tesco not selling the figures anymore, and character having stopped mass-producing their figures (like Series 5) I think the business has become downgraded, and much less is now made for us to buy. 🙁
I think there could, and SHOULD, have been atleast an Amy Pond wearing Pirate clothes and a sword from episode 3, ther should have been a Doctor from the story Closing Time by now but no doubt this will be released eventually.

March 6th, 2012 - 9:29amWhen I say that, I mean the Series 5 figures were mass-produced, thats’ why there are still Fransesco the Vampires and Peter the Winders and Hawthorne the unpopulars lying at the back gathering dust, from 2010 !
And the Doctor in his new coat will probably (I imagine) be made and released within two years at the most. ❗
Still, it’s saddening that character have really cheapend up their business for Dr Who 5″ for Series 6. 🙁

March 5th, 2012 - 11:09amPeople who already bought htose figures find it annoying they just got re-released with a bit of blue plastic.
I think it’s (you will definately find this VERY annoying, but the word I’m going to use is) good, because you can pose the Silent like it’s using it’s electric beam. The Cybermen, I found kindof strange at first, because unless they are touching someone there is no electric, and they never used it in Closing Time.
Something that WAS in Closing Time that we have yet to see, is the Doctor. 😡

March 2nd, 2012 - 9:34amRiversong was by far the best. Idris, and the Silent was excellent, i’m really glad they came out. Didn’t get a soft flesh Doctor Ganger or the Peg Solder but i bet they were great. The rest were just variants.

Riversong was a great figure, particularly the variant with improved hair, it was much better than the Pandorica release. But her and Amelia Pond don’t really count as Series 6 figures, they were based on Series 5, so IMO they shouldn’t really be included in this.
Idris and the Silence are my favourite next to the Doctors (apart from the hat Doctor which sucks, but that’s another matter ).
I would recommend the Soft-effect Doctor/Ganger, but just don’t drop him on the floor, he’s a dust-magnet ! ❗

Doctor Ganger with softe-effect flesh. (who was it taht said “If the Doctor were ever to be a Zombie this is as close as you could get” ?) 😀 True !
11th Doctor figure, white shirt. (the most accurate Doctor figure of this series, I recently opend it and prefer it over the blue shirt one ! even though the head is unposeable)
Cyberman chest and limb damage with electric hands. Although we are sick of the cyber-figures, the detail-

All of the Silence figures, apart from the grey ones with no lightning effect. They are great figures and I regret that forbidden Planet in my area have none. 🙁
Idris with Phsychic container, I think it’s great they made Idris figure. Although I would have preffered a smile-face grinning Idris, because she should look more lively. But still, it’s great to see her as a collectable figure. And the other best figure, yep, you guessed it, the Doctor Straight jacket 😉

March 2nd, 2012 - 8:52amAll good but i hate the astronaught figure, it’s terrible looking. The turquoise paint (on the glove) is FAR TOO bright. And it doesn’t ahve the NASA logo, surely if the design-department on Dr Who have the rights to use NASA the figure-creators for that series can aswell. ❗
And the girls face is the worst job EVER.
The other bad releases have been Uncle (quite pointless when they could have made something more important and better such as the Siren instead of another figure from the Doctors Wife. 🙁

No offense ofcourse, I don’t hate you or blame you or anything, but I really think there has been some much wasted oppurtunity with Series 6 figures. ❗ Couldn’t they have made a new jacket for the Doctor ? It’s just the same old one from Series 5, with two buttons and plain. 😯

I mean, the Silents are great, I’m thrilled they released Idris, and I’d be happy to get undamaged non-Cybus cybermen and cybermats (if they released them in North America…) but no Dorium, no Mme Vastra, no River variant save the astronaut, no green overcoat Doctor, no samurai Amy and *still* no Rory, Roman or otherwise.
It just seems like a lost opportunity. I only ended up buying Idris and a silent. They could’ve got a lot more money out of me.

March 1st, 2012 - 7:51pmExactly. The releases were far too limited. I wish Character would realise that there are so many more interesting characters they can produce. Such as Amy (two/three from Series 6 would be ideal; she’s a very important character), Rory (same as Amy), River (one or two), Madame Vastra, Avery (pirates!), more peg dolls, a handbot and Kovarian. If they don’t see these chances, or are only interested in making a profit and selling to five-year-olds, then I don’t understand why they’re allowed to continue making Doctor Who figures. It’s so unfair.

March 6th, 2012 - 9:33amCan’t believe ther Peg-Soldier and Astronaught River have reached the top. The astronuaght is a terrible figure ! the paint and everything makes it look so cheap and inaccurate.
As for the Peg-Soldier, it’s a VERY good figure 😀 especially the re-released variant with dirtier trousers, but he is alone, there are still no other Peg-dolls so I donot see the point in buying that figure, despite it being well-made and good looking. ❗
