Personalise Your Sonic Screwdriver Set
Available to order from www.forbiddenplanet.com
Combine the sections from each of the three Sonic Screwdrivers in different ways to create your own version. With over 80 possible combinations each with light and multiple sound effects this really is the ultimate sonic screwdriver set. Requires 3x L1154 Batteries. For ages 5 years and over.
The packaging – you get 3 screwdrivers which all break down into 11 parts plus one light and sound unit. The screwdrivers are in scale with the already released eleventh Doctor version although the nature of this set makes spring action not possible …
The separate parts with the light and sound unit which slots inside your chosen combination pictured at the bottom…
Some of the combinations you can make from this set, it is possible to end up with 3 complete units although only one will have sound and light…
The two new variations look very impressive when lit with the light/sound device supplied…
Create your own unique Sonic Screwdriver by swapping and combining the sections from each of the three Sonic Screwdrivers!
With over 80 possible combinations each with light and multiple sound effects this really is the ultimate sonic screwdriver set.

September 29th, 2011 - 11:56pmthere really fun to build and there well made i made the ultimate sonic screwdriver!!!
ace
September 27th, 2011 - 2:50pmOK, so are they sturdily built? or after youve reasembled them half a dozen times will the ends fall off in your pockets?
How do they fit together, do they pop-in, clip in like bayonet light fittings, screw in.
has anyone had problems with the build quality of these bad-boys?
Mels
September 30th, 2011 - 4:23amThey’re sturdy. They slot into grooves and twist to keep in place. As long as you put the pieces together correctly (aka don’t force the pieces in the wrong spot so you wear down the threads) they should last for a very long time.
Worse case scenario, you can buy spare parts from CO, though you shouldn’t need to.

September 24th, 2011 - 7:26pmThis looks awesome, if anyones got it are the parts loose when put together or are they tight?
rabid frog
September 24th, 2011 - 8:59pm2 are loose one is built
ace
September 27th, 2011 - 12:22amI think he mean do they fit together tightly, not how are they asembled in the box.
I had a look at one today and wondered the same thing.
Mels
September 27th, 2011 - 5:04amThey click together very firmly, yes. The parts slot into a groove and twist, so they won’t fall apart.

September 27th, 2011 - 2:53pmCheers Mels, might go back and get one from town then. (Just posted up the full questions i had in a seperate post before i refreshed and found your reply.)

September 14th, 2011 - 1:05amMine arrived today. The white handle for the new green one is awful! It looks like something you would get on a poundshop toy.
The 11th Doctor one is pointless, the button is in an awkward place and its nowhere near as good as the proper one, if you want a mark VII sonic buy the proper one. I feel cheated because of it.
What your left with is two rather nice designs (I use the 11th doctor handle for the green one) and a battery pack between them, may as well have released them both as a set with non interchangeable parts.

July 10th, 2011 - 11:53amThe design with the round end kind of reminds me of the older designs, actually, making me really like it as an (unintentional?) nod. Too bad it doesn’t have a red glow, like the red in the tip of some of the classic designs I’ve seen to fit with that.
The customization thing is a cool idea too, both as a random gimmick for kids to fool around with and because, if I remember reading right(never saw the specific episode), the Sonic Screwdrivers could be built by hand if need be as well as popped out of the TARDIS, so this makes sense too.
space fish
August 21st, 2011 - 8:56amThe screwdriver that you aare thinking of is more of an unintensional nod to dentist tools

July 5th, 2011 - 10:42amOk, these are really fun!
I’m hoping CO will sell the light/sound units seperately in their spare parts section, so I can have light and sound on all three at once.

July 2nd, 2011 - 2:01pmAussies might want to know (I know you’re here lol) that these are now out at some ABC shops in Australia.
I nearly fell over when I saw them today, I ordered mine from CO the day they were released (posted the next day), and they haven’t even arrived yet (courier too)!
I think they must have sent these via Tardis…
Oh yeah, they’re $39.99.
