The Description…

Sophisticated and elegant this Doctor was more of a pure scientist than his predecessors, surrounded by gadgets and vehicles.
But whether aiding UNIT against invasion or travelling to distant planets his kindness and belief in peace was rarely stronger.
The Sonic Screwdriver is a versatile tool and defensive device first used by the Doctor in his second incarnation for opening up hatches, panels and controls.
Later uses included cutting through all sections and even as a conventional screwdriver.

This version had even more functions including detecting security traps, remote detonation of mines, opening doors and restraints, creating ignition sparks and again removing screws and fixings.
Later still the fourth Doctor remade yet another similar style of sonic screwdriver but with many more features and functions including micro soldering or circuitry, cutting wires and bulkheads and even detonating Dalek explosives.

May 30th, 2011 - 1:48pmBrought it for £10 pounds at the MCM expo. Its great! I wish they are metal and the sound effects are the same sounds as the tennant screwdriver. It does`nt sound the same is in the show which is sort of annoying but its retroness makes up for it!

May 13th, 2011 - 10:44amI love it! But 1 thing annoys me, about all these screwdrivers! Their not metal! I don’t really mind, but its what gives the feel of it being a prop! I know its a toy, but its a replica!
McGann is The Doctor.
March 26th, 2011 - 5:17pmWooh that would be so cool if they did make another one! I may even paint over it to make it unique for ME as the Doctor (ever played dress-up to a convention of sorts?).

December 1st, 2010 - 11:59pmI have had this sonic screwdriver for a few months now and i must say, it’s a great toy, replica. really recommended. It is plastic but it still is brilliant, just hoping that more classic sonic screwdrivers are on the way.
