believe it or not, but I believe they may make an emperor dalek if hes shown in the 50th or series 8. it really isn’t that huge and would only cost £30 to £45 and would be very popular!!!

I would give ANYTHING for an emperor figure widely available not exclusive to figurine collection subscribers

Indeed it is a must have.

it could be £50 with john hurt and a guard dalek- from the time war (the john hurt would be different from a single figure)

we have the same problem with the toys r us sets, limited 1st deliveries and no website ordering are giving ebay sellers a field day

I’m sure as more people find them eBay will be flooded which will bring the price down.

People dont know that though – its not even been “officially” acknowledged by Character – there is no official image of it – not one website you can order it from.

This is turning into a right old pickle, al dewar stated that they were on general release, maybe it will take a little while for them to get into the shops.

I’m I saw Al Dewar say something like this on twitter in response to someone asking if it was a rare variant or not ‘No, its just a general release’

I hope that is still the case as I have strangely fallen in love with this dalek design after seeing it in 3.75″ and 5″…

Indeed these are aimed at the younger whoivans, and them being small does have its perks. Like they are easier to afford. Believe me i had my doubts but now I wave welcomed them with open arms.

I know they won’t make any new sculpts until the next wave, but even still, I might have been excited if they’d retooled the arm, but I’ll stick with getting the normal bronze Dalek or Dalek Sec. If it was a 3.75 inch sculpt for the revised Paradigm Daleks or even a damaged Asylum Dalek, I would be happy, but I’m not getting worked up for a minor variant that appeared for a minute or two in the actual episode.

      That would be cool

    • The Monitor

      October 20th, 2013 - 10:08am

Would it? Not all Smythes stock Doctor Who – the two nearest me (one being an hour away) do not stock more than the annual. Whenever you ask them for help its “go online”. Fed up of hearing that when you go to the effort of supporting a physical shop. It is not just Smythes, it is so many shops these days.

    • The Monitor

      October 20th, 2013 - 10:14am

The Living Shadow – Glad you managed to get one.

All – There seems to be a trend that certain shops get certain rares. I have visited over 50 shops in the last couple of months. I have done 11 shops that stock 3.75in this weekend, with 5 others that I thought might that didn’t. Nearly all had 12+ figures in because of restocks. Most had 2 gold daleks. It would suggest that these outlets are either receiving a slightly older consignment or that Smythes has a newer case configuration.

    • The Living Shadow

      October 20th, 2013 - 10:15am

They do now. My one hasn’t sold Dr who in about 2 years and they said they got all the figures and dr who stuff in stock on Friday

    • booboo

      October 20th, 2013 - 10:19am

that’s why I’m wondering if this may be a Smyths exclusive, we will have to see if they turn up elsewhere

did they have any ordinary gold Daleks?

    • The Monitor

      October 20th, 2013 - 10:21am

Thanks. Out of interest does your one show stock online?

My one is about 9 months old, from a distance I thought it was a carpet shop to begin with. The shelf space for Doctor Who was so small that items were stored on their side. An inch, literally.

I might try it in the week then.

    • King Peladon

      October 20th, 2013 - 10:30am

Hope its not exclusive to smyths i went to my nearest smyths and was told they don’t sell doctor who toys they are only available in selected stores not even online

    • The Living Shadow

      October 20th, 2013 - 10:35am

@BooBoo, they didn’t have any normal gold daleks, but it could just be a coincidence as there weren’t many there and I didn’t see any ice warriors

    • The Living Shadow

      October 20th, 2013 - 10:39am

From memory I’d say there were around:
      3 Doctors
      2 Claras
      0 Ice warriors
      4 Cybermen
      2 Weeping angles
      0 Daleks
      2 Guard Daleks
