Masterpiece Collection Maxi Bust 8th Doctor (Cancelled)

You can see all in stock Doctor Who Masterpiece Collection Maxi Busts Here.

Titan Merchandise are proud to announce the latest item in their limited edition, high-quality Doctor Who Masterpiece Collection!

This beautifully-sculpted 8″ maxi-bust of Paul McGann’s unique incarnation of the ever-regenerating Time Lord captures the every detail of his performance as the adventurous and romantic Eighth Doctor!

Paul McGann starred in the 1996 BBC/Fox Network TV movie (and many subsequent Big Finish audio adventures) as perhaps the most individual and certainly the most outwardly-romantic incarnation of The Doctor!

The Eighth Doctor and his frockcoat, waistcoat, cravat & signature timepiece is brought to life in this intricately-detailed three-quarter length sculpt standing 8″ tall.

My favourite DW sculpt so far is this one, if I could have any of them it would be the Eighth Doctor here. 😀

It’s ok now. I was on that page about how to use the 2011 Christmas Wish List, and they commented about it. Your probably wondering why I was on that page, but I was just looking around. 🙂

How do you know it’s not the Cyberleader from Earthshock ?

    • Anonymous

      February 24th, 2012 - 4:04pm

In Earthshock they had transparent mouth pieces which you could see the actor’s chin through, in this one it is a solid silver colour so the chin is not visible.

If I had a lotto win I would start collecting these but at £50 a pop I cant justify it…also I saw the 11th Doctor Bust close up in a FP Shop display case and I was a little dissapointed with the quality (for £50)…maybe it just happened to be one that didnt come up to the usual standard and thats why it was being used as a display model…but it was enough to put me off.

Technically, there are loads of Big Finish CDs, which do far far more for the character than the one movie.

There was a statuette of him done ten or so years ago produced by Sheercast which is quite well done.

He’s my clsoe 2nd favourite, my most favourite being Colin Baker, who despite havign an unsuccessful tenure on the show, is a wonderful actor and person, who can be inspiring and has hilarious wit.

I always liked his stories, apart from TImelash which I haven’t really seen and don’t want to.

And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t keen on the costume. Sure it’s tastless and unmatching, but at the same time it’s beautiful, it’s an expression of the Doctor, his complexity and his wonderful strangeness. 😀
