Kangazang Bounces along to Cardiff

Colin Baker will be signing copies of “Kangazang!” at Forbidden Planet International, Cardiff on Saturday 25th September at 10am.

The former Doctor Who uses a multitude of voices to tell the story of troubled Earthman, Jeff Spooner and his barber, Ray Scump.

Aided by two badly programmed robots and an army of warrior Space Hoppers, our heroes dive and try to dodge the biggest threats in the galaxy: Supreme Overlord Kelvin (emperor of Skragg), the terminally depressed Emo people and Queen Shelley (a bald, cannibalistic Amazon who has a score to settle from way back)…

Lucy Beese, manager at Forbidden Planet International, Cardiff, said: “It’s always great to have stars of Doctor Who dropping by to meet the fans. Colin Baker’s performance in Kangazang! is out of this world. We are very enthusiastic about Kangazang! both the book and the CD. It reinforces British comedy stereotypes just like Red Dwarf and Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads did in the past.”

Justin Chaloner, director of Candy Jar Books, is pleased that Colin is getting behind the project. He said: “I’m really looking forward to Colin coming to Cardiff and spreading the word about this hilarious Kangazanian sci-fi comedy.”

Colin is currently performing on stage as Inspector Morse in the stage play ‘House of Ghosts’. The director of UK tour is Robin Herford who directed the long-running West End production of The Woman in Black, as well as Corpse! and Strangers On A Train, which both featured Colin.

As well as signing copies of Kangazang!, he will also be signing his own portrait photos.

For those people unable to attend the event, Candy Jar is offering the first 25 minutes of Kangazang as a free download. For more information, please visit www.kangazang.co.uk
