November 1st, 2014 - 3:38amOn the subject of hand made tardises (Tardii?). my father made a beautiful wooden tardis for me for a school project, had an old radio gear inside that looked like Bakers console and stuck white orange juice lids on the inside. (this was in 1980). Took it to school and the teacher loved it! few days later it disappeared. I cried, the teacher said sorry and it has been lost in the space time continuum ever since. I miss it still.

October 8th, 2014 - 2:39amThanks Ian for the reply, which i hope you obtain a mike to do a video of your entire collection.
I really do enyjoy seeing other peoples collections and the effort that you and others put into displaying and recording each item, which gives inspiration and pleasure to many.
The one item that stands out in my collection to me is a handmade Tardis, it may not be the best made item in the world but was made for me by my Father which makes it priceless.
Ian
October 8th, 2014 - 11:31pmHi Sean, that Tardis that your Dad made is priceless! Its unique! π The last Christmas present my dad bought me in 2002 (he passed away in Oct 03) was the Product Enterprise 12″ Black and Silver supreme Dalek from Remembrance. It was my first 12″ Dalek. Also the Selcol Nursery Dalek was bought for me by my parents and the yellow Marx Dalek, though he is a little battered now it still means a lot to me.
Ian
October 8th, 2014 - 11:32pmPs. The Selcol Dalek is the Blue and Silver one you can see in the third picture.
Ian
October 23rd, 2014 - 1:39pmFor those that asked I will be doing a video very soon. At the moment I am in the middle of rearranging my collection. Stay tuned!

Hello Rusty
October 2nd, 2014 - 3:55amWow Ian what a collection mine is tiny compared toy your’s which is like the 5 inch figures to 3.75 inch lol anyway how long did this take and if possible how meany comic con exclusives do you have ?
Ian
October 3rd, 2014 - 8:39amI started way back in 1974, my parents bought me a Yellow Marx bump and go Dalek and I would get the annual for Christmas each year. As for how many Comic Con exclusives, I think I have most of them, except the Time crash set. I have the Victory of the Dalek set (Churchill and Ironside Dalek) from the French Comic Con.
Hello Rusty
October 8th, 2014 - 10:47pmOk Ian cheers for the reply and looked in new book and YOU were in it what a lucky man !!!
Sean
September 30th, 2014 - 1:44pmIan is there any chance of you doing a video of your collection on Youtube?
Does the difference of dvd to Blueray of the same story count as two?
Ian
October 3rd, 2014 - 8:36amHi Sean. Yes if you have say Spearhead from Space on DVD and Blu ray it counts as two items as they are different releases and different formats.
Yes I do want to do a Video, need an external mike as the Laptops mike isn’t that good.

Sam Richard Bentley
September 19th, 2014 - 1:00pmIan,
First of all, congrats on the record – and what a collection you have!
Secondly, I wanted to ask – what merchandise counts? Is it just toys and collectibles? Or do DVds, books, CDs, etc count? Also – what about unofficial merchandise? Maybe fan-made or items based off the show but not necessarily produced by the BBC – do they count too?
Ian
September 19th, 2014 - 10:22pmMany thanks. Everything related to Dr Who, including unofficial Merchandise. Even customs. Just as long as its noting rubbish. Example, the scarf I am wearing counts as it was made for me the same as my 7th Dr Umbrella.
Sam Richard Bentley
September 20th, 2014 - 2:13pmAhh, so when I count up my collection I can include my custom ‘Dimensions in Time’ DVD case? Not that I have anything on your collection, my friend – 127 items unless I have missed anything. It’s quite pitiful compared to you really!
