Scificollector, Forbidden Planet and Toys R Us are holding events or extending opening hours to allow customers to purchase merchandise from the new series.

For those of you lucky enough to have exclusive tickets to new series launch party (sold out) at the Crosse Keys, Gracechurch Street, London, Scificollector will be on hand to sell the latest merchandise straight after the screening.

3rd April: 10:00 – 22:00 Late night Doctor Who toy launch!

This Easter, in celebration of the launch of the brand new Eleventh Doctor action figure, Toys R Us in Brent Cross will be hosting a Doctor Who extravaganza and will be offering guests an exclusive first look at the new generation TARDIS.

Come down to the Toys R Us store at Brent Cross at 9am on Monday 5th April and be the first to get your hands on the new Eleventh Doctor action figure and Sonic Screwdriver which will go on general sale that day.

As part of the event, fans will be treated to an exclusive first look at the legendary TARDIS which has been completely re-designed for the latest series. The TARDIS will be taking time out from the set so fans can enjoy a closer look at the Doctor’s living and breathing, time-travelling machine.

And that’s not all… Fans will also have to brace themselves for some up-close encounters with the show’s monsters. They will be making an appearance every hour on the hour between 9am and 4pm so guests should come prepared for them to be lurking and ready to pounce!

There will also be a whole host of Doctor Who themed games and activities on offer throughout the day, as well as prizes awarded to children who dress up in the best costumes of their favourite characters.

WHAT: Grand unveiling of new Matt Smith Eleventh Doctor action figure, where fans can:

* Get an exclusive first look at the new generation TARDIS straight from the set of the new series
* Meet the monsters from the show every hour on the hour between 9am and 4pm
* Take part in a whole host of Doctor Who games and activities
* Win Doctor Who goodies for the best fancy dress costumes on the day

    I think that’s the idea.

    If you lucky enough to be going to the launch party scificollector will be there to sell news items form series 5 but i am not sure how much stock will be available.

    The problem is that the toys cannot be sold until after The eleventh hour is aired and Its Easter Sunday with everything shut so unless a shop is willing to stay open late on sat night Monday is the earliest.
