Forbidden Planet in conjunction with Titan Merchandise are proud to present the official Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Collection.
Spanning the next 12 months, this original collection showcases the past 60 (Earth) years of every doctor starting with The First Doctor (release date November 2022 with pre-orders starting Monday 24th October) all the way through to the Thirteenth and Fugitive Doctors (release date October 2023 with pre-orders starting Monday 7th August 2023).
This is the most comprehensive range of Doctor Who merchandise Titan Merchandise has ever created and it’s exclusively available through Forbidden Planet (online, in stores and UK conventions).
Each month Forbidden Planet will release an exclusively designed range of product, with some deep dives into the Doctors past; including Art Prints, Enamel Pin Badges and keychains, T-Shirts, Sweatshirts & hoodies, Mugs & Coasters; 100 of these will be exclusively numbered (and not always released in order) and once they have sold out…they will never be produced again.
Some items will only be available on the Forbidden Planet webstore at www.forbiddenplanet.com, others only in stores and some exclusively at MCM Conventions, but all will only be available for a limited time.

No pin badge 🙁 and I really dislike the look of skulls…can’t have them up anywhere (I’ve learnt to accept the vashta nerada action fogure haha). So I’ve skipped the art print for that, and just got the coaster and 12th Dr specific art print this time around.
My 10th Dr sweatshirt has just been shipped, so I’m really looking forward to that!

April 12th, 2023 - 12:14pmI think the 8th/War Doctor range is the best drop yet. The postcards set are litterally perfect and I’m happy they did one for the quotes and the main doctor. Also that doctor no more print is amazing. I’m a little sad that the 8th doctor doesn’t get his companions on his print but I’m guessing that’s some kind of licensing issue regarding BBC and Big Finish. Can’t wait to pick these up

March 15th, 2023 - 1:29pmHey Chris, sadly not – we used the budget normally spent on a quote t-shirt to give the 7th Doctor an additional monster design (the Rani, already released) and the Greatest Show / ? Logos.
Titan had released a nice “Somewhere the tea is getting cold” design some years back, and we didn’t want to step on Cutaway Comics’ toes with an Ice Hot / Happiness Will Prevail t-shirt and print design (as these were discussed as incentives for their Kickstarter campaigns at one point).
The Eighth Doctor won’t have a quote t-shirt either, but mostly due to licensing issues. I suggested “Bring Me Knitting” or “Physician, Heal Thyself” from Night (as licensing issues don’t affect that mini-episode) but for various reasons those never came off. Maybe one day! Titan did, however, have a “I Am The Doctor!” Design out in 2021, before the licensing issues hit.
(War Doctor onwards will all have quote designs)

The t-shirts and art prints usually feature the same design, so when I mention one I really mean both. Sometimes the print is designed first and made into a t-shirt, or vice versa.
I’m not there anymore so can’t guarantee anything, but maybe Titan could make this historic design into a print:

Such a shame that the Doctor’s final lines from Survival were not used on a Art Print. It would have looked great. Perhaps FP can reconsider this.
For the Eighth Doctor why not the “You were expecting someone else” from TNotD. (Hope I got the quote right!!!)
For me it dose not have to be a T-Shirt as well.

Jay from Titan reads these comments, so you never know RE that art print…!
Having on both a t-shirt, art print, enamel, etc helps amortise the cost 🙂

February 3rd, 2023 - 12:27amOff this topic a bit, but I just got an email from Master Replicas saying they were taking over some Eaglemoss lines, and there was a Dr Who logo….hope for our figurines???

From what I’ve read online Master Replicas are a subsidiary owned by Heathside Trading, who resell stock of bankrupted goods to retailers usually discount chains, and they are the ones responsible for selling sets in B&M recently. But they’re not a publisher or a manufacturer.
It is thought MR have bought up all Eaglemoss stock manufactured before the axe fell and that includes some figurines that got stuck in China or in transit and are now thought to be in the UK. Those that might be cropping up on the MR site are 216-219 and also 222 (Ood Elder) which are thought to have made it to mass production.
There are rumours (but no more than that just now) that Hachette have taken up the option to continue the collection but that is just conjecture until we hear any different from Ben. I really hope it’s true!
Although a subscriber from day one and signing up to them, I haven’t yet received any such email from MR.

It seems from Ben’s updates so far things are moving much quicker with the Star Trek lines! With regards to our collection, he did say if there was an image, it was likely it had gone to production (apart from prototypes I suppose) so maybe you’ll be lucky with the Black Guardian! I’m hoping for the Movellan!
I really hope someone does take up the collection in some form – the ‘buzz’ around the show is building with RTD back, so now or never I think!

Each Doctor has a three month sales period (online and in store). We then take stock of all remaining stock for that Doctor and update online webstore.
For instance, The First Doctor will be taken off the store shelves when the Fourth Doctor is physically released on Monday 13th February.
Once I receive stock back into my warehouse from the stores the webstore will be updated, so any out of stock items may reappear, but in short supply.
Then the decision to release the TS and sweatshirt designs as Print on Demand will be made, but they may not be available again for a while.

We have looked into this but the costs to produce tea towels has doubled and they just aren’t cost effective anymore.
If the demand is high enugh though it is something we will possibly revist next year

Tenth & Meta-Crisis, Eleventh & The Curator and Thirteenth & Fugitive made sense as it was which ‘double’ appeared with that Doctor.
Eighth & War Doctors were about who came where in the timeline.
Fifth & Sixth was about how much merch we had created for both of them and where in 2023 they were due to come out.

If Forbidden Planet had numerous stores all over the UK it wouldn’t be so bad but so far as I know they only have the 9 stores shown on their website. Not everyone can travel miles away to visit a store or attend conventions.
Items should be accessible to all – ebay scalpers will love the store exclusives to sell at inflated prices.

October 21st, 2022 - 3:10pmI’m not there anymore, so have no insider info on strategy – but remember, FP is slowly returning to cons and needs to draw attention to its associated booth(s) again, so exclusives are foot fall drivers; and the high street stores have to justify their very existence with the economy being as it is at the moment. Regardless, I think most items *will* end up on their website at some point, or via Ebay. Truthfully, I don’t think a coaster – no matter how rare – will ever sell for much more than its RRP on there, no matter what scalpers try. Or I hope it wouldn’t!!
