December 17th, 2023 - 7:05pmApologies to everyone here for not staying in touch. I have, rather badly, focused on the FB group when I should’ve and could’ve spent some time here too.
It’s been a slog to keep up with everything, and the logistics side of things was completely alien to me. I should’ve factored in much more time. I’ve learned so much. I will never roll my eyes when I hear of warehouse/despatch delays ever again. I have a new appreciation of all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes that no one ever sees.
The job hasn’t been as seamless as I’d hoped and wanted and planned. There always seemed to be some new problem to sort out. And I know I will have made mistakes with a few of the others. I’m dreaming of this thing now and waking up in the middle of the night wondering what else might go wrong.
But it’s out there now. I know I promised more than was delivered regarding the release date, but I really hope you think the book is worth the wait. I’m getting some nice feedback.
Boo-boo: your copy will be in its way tomorrow.

December 18th, 2023 - 7:11pmI can only talk from my own experience but I couldn’t be any the happier; the book arrived well before Christmas (whereupon it was swiftly taken away from me and wrapped up) and was in a sturdy box with bubble wrap around the book to further protect it.
When you think it was only a matter of a few weeks ago we ordered this and it hand to be printed, shipped, packed, posted and delivered this is a great achievement!

“I’ve been working flat out to ensure the last remaining books are sent out this weekend to UK customers.
These include comp copies to contributors Alvin Amey, Neil Hawkins, Jaymes Gardiner, Ronald Binnie, Ali Hoswell and Mike Bell.
There’s a local post office that’s open today, so they will be in the post no matter what tomorrow!

I just tried the link and I got a message “page not available” – not sure if it is because I do not use Facebook but this website is such a great help for those of us that do not use social media.
I did send two emails to the address on the listing and in fairness, Neil did reply to my first email back in late November but I have received nothing for the last two.
I just wanted to ascertain if or when my book will be dispatched – I appreciate that there have been documented delays but where do we stand if we do not receive the book?
I guess it is just wait and see.

I am still waiting to receive my book and I have sent a couple of email to the address on the listing but have not yet received a reply so I do not know if or when my book is likely to be dispatched.
I would be grateful for any information.

It is one book that I am really looking forward to reading.
I am just hoping that we manage to get the latest Robert Harrop figurine (those of us that were very fortunate to purchase it) before Christmas.

I know there was a comment about the last week of the month but as we are virtually there I was just wondering if there is an update?
I think we are all eagerly waiting for the book but with the rush up to Christmas underway I have already received updates from Royal Mail that there is a slight delay in deliveries due to an increase in demand and I would imagine the same might be true for the other couriers.

I was there from the very start at the 50th Anniversary convention at London Excel where Neil was presenting the first few figurines at a stall. Crazy to think that was 10 years ago. I’ve stopped and started my collection a few times since, but it’s always been a big part of my life. So this book is a no brainer really.

Feel very proud to have some of my custom figurines featured in this too so thanks to Neil for making that happen! Very much looking forward to seeing the final book in hand.

However Neil very kindly said he would like to put it in his book. I havn’t a clue were it’s going to show up as he said he would like it to be a Surprise.

Even managed to get my hands on the Test Set issues all those years ago !
Unfortunately, I have not been able to keep all the Eaglemoss figurines in my collection due to lack of storage space, but I definitely was fortunate enough to cherry pick and keep my personal favourites (including the Space Pig).
Cannot wait to receive this Book – a very important piece to add to my collection 🙂

Also the many contributions to the custom builders that were included should be applauded.
I,m hoping there are many pictures of any unreleased in there as well.
