Although I wasn’t too keen on him as a character, I think that max Capricorn will be a fantastic figure!!

That assumes the figure actually comes out, the list has been changed.

      May 3rd, 2014 - 5:17pm

I disagree Mr Shadow, I think it’d make the type of figurine you’d hide at the back of the collection, and not because it is bland and uninteresting like a human, but because it is just awful.

This is one of only 2 figures on this original list that I object to, the other being a Smiler (though when Catkind turned out to be Brannigan – that made the 3rd).

That said, I’d rather have any of these monstrosities (except Max) as long as I never had to endure a companion figure.

he’s called Jack, not Jake, although he’d still make a rubbish figurine, just like the other companions imo.

I’m genuinely interested, why are so many of you so interested in Companions? I know some of them are great characters, but I think they would all be poor figures. This collection was made for the monsters.

companions like captain jake and river song and maybe k9

    • The Werewolf

      May 3rd, 2014 - 3:16pm

again, he’s not called Jake, but he isn’t a monster so not relevant anyway.

    • Anonymous

      May 3rd, 2014 - 3:34pm

It’s not all about monsters, do we really consider Brannigan a “monster”? Or a Silurian for that matter? Or even Rassilon?

    • The Werewolf

      May 3rd, 2014 - 8:29pm

A Silurian is certainly a monster in that they are typical Doctor Who monsters in a way. They are not human, and have a typical “alien / monster” look to them, that makes them monsters.

Rassilon is also certainly a monster, though he looks humanlike in that he is monstrous in his behaviour so yes, he is certainly a monster.

The only one you’ve suggested that might not be is Brannigan, but he is an alien, so that sort of counts. On the other hand, I’m not pleased w/ his inclusion anyway, but at least he isn’t human.

      To be continued…

    • The Werewolf

      May 3rd, 2014 - 9:06pm

Short answer: I do consider all 3 of those monsters.

If you’re not sure why I can elaborate.

    • Phil

      September 16th, 2015 - 10:45pm

Personally, I think Jack (or Jake lol) is a monster. The character has been responsible for some terrible actions (see Children Of Earth) that qualifies him as a bad guy.

    • The Werewolf

      September 16th, 2015 - 11:16pm

Torchwood doesn’t count in here, and going solely off his appearances in Doctor Who, Jack is good only, his morally questionable/greyer aspects are removed.

This was a very early draft of the line-up (and only part of it, the full list goes up to 80, but the last 9 weren’t included in the bit that went public).

Several changes have since been made, all that can be definitely guaranteed is the first 23 issues (and various changes have been made to the rest of the list, including the addition of some companions if the actors will agree to it).

Please can someone correct me if im wrong but I think ive spotted an error! Eaglemoss confirmed there was 80 figures planned (8 daleks,a few specials and 70 normal figures) but there is 71 normals here but i think its a mistake! 65 is Sutekh and 66 is the destroyer but 65 could be sutekh the destroyer (his full name/title and that would mean that auton would be 80

    • LordofWHO

      February 22nd, 2014 - 12:56pm

no the list is correct as there is a monster called the destroyer in the Sylvester McCoy story Battlefield. Also there is going to be 80 normal figures without the specials and daleks but they only released a list of 71 as they were still working on the other 9.

    • Anonymous

      February 28th, 2014 - 8:52pm

The list WAS correct a long time ago, but many changes have been made. It gives you an idea of what they were planning, but it is inaccurate (and has also been confirmed to be incomplete as they have always planned for at least 80 issues).

    • Phil

      September 16th, 2015 - 10:46pm

I spoke to Eaglemoss yesterday. They said there will be 80 issues not including specials.

    • The Werewolf

      September 16th, 2015 - 11:17pm

Well, 80 is outdated too actually. Ben Robinson, the guy who runs the collection (and many others besides) said that it has been extended to 100 issues. (Not including specials).

(cont) Davros’s, Cybermen and Master’s. A couple of Daleks and Cybermen would do, 1 Davros (which we’ve already got) and maybe 2 (3 at a push) versions of the Master. Less of the timelords as well, Omega, Rassilon, Rani, Monk and a couple of other famous oes would do nicely. I still think they should go way past 80, 160-200 sounds more like it. If Marvel can do it, why not Doctor Who? After all they are both Eaglemoss.

I really think that they should focus more on the classic series, it seems to focus too much on the revived version and not only that but loads of Daleks and Cybermen as well. I understand that they are trying to show us the evolution of these 2 famous enemies, surely adding a lot more of the older enemies would be a lot better? I much prefer the classic stories and would like some more figurines of them. plus some companions. If they did one figurine for every enemy and companion, that alone would be 140 odd. There’s no need for so many Daleks

No doubt the line up and range of figures (+possibly vehicles and other oversized creatures) will change throughout the (definitely needs to be extended) run of issues.
This partwork may be one of the most lucative for Eaglemoss as long as Dr. Who stays on air – generating an increading number of fans.

Side note – as a ‘test subscriber’ I’ve now finally received my missing/back-ordered issues. Now just waiting on the subscriber gifts of course. So, no real change from DBFactory.
