Figurine Collection (Test Area) 03 Cyber Controller

Figurine Collection (Test Area) 03 Cyber Controller

Celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who this fantastic new figurine collection. The series draws from every era show and includes all eleven versions of the Doctor plus his greatest monsters.

All the figurines are carefully produced in 1:21 scale, and cast in a specially formulated metallic resin before being painted by hand and individually numbered.

The specially formulated resin and high quality sculpting allow the figurines to reproduce an incredible level of detail right down to the mesh in the Silurian Warrior’s uniform and the controls on Davros’s console.

Each figurine recreates a specific moment from the TV series in loving detail and every sculpt is based on detailed study of the original production photography, props and drawings.

The collection features several different versions of the Daleks and Cybermen allowing you to trace their evolution over the years.

This is the definitive Doctor Who figurine collection.

Still waiting for 6 weeks for issue no 1. Spoke to the customer service, they had no knowledge of the test area or that it was limited to 5or6 issues, what is going on?

Their customer services department is very badly organised. A shame really as their magazines tend to be very well done, but if you get a problem you’re stuck.

I haven’t got any of these in normal figures,so I wouldn’t mind to buy one.

all partworks are dealt with by one customer service company usually which for this collection is database factory. It is likely that although they claim to be from the figurine line, they also deal with other partworks which is why they may be disorganized and not know what is going on.

I emailed them two weeks back and got this reply

” Thank you for your email.
We have not yet charged any accounts as we are waiting for the stock to be delivered in the warehouse.
We have not been given a specific delivry date but as soon as we are ready to

dispatch we notify this through a letter.
      I apologise for the delays.

      Kind regards

Note the spelling mistakes which shows the reply was rushed and the fact the reply came from Doctor Who Monster Invasion [[email protected]]

and that the address underneath says [email protected] .

This is very poor service, and if its like this for the test launch then I dread to think what will happen if it goes national.

Unfortunately a number of good magazines/partworks are dealt with by the ‘Customer Fulfilment Centre’ at the Database Factory. It’s actually just a warehouse on an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere. I do not understand why companies use this organisation, because most of the time they don’t understand what a ‘phone does or what a computer is?

Thats true I have found that Eaglemoss have the correct info, as for the DVD files at least, it seems that Eaglemoss has the latest info, but when dealing with customer services they have no idea what is going on, as Eaglemoss never update them with the latest issue.

Tried subscribing to this as soon as issue 1 came out(ie when it was listed on this website). Although I’m outside the test area, I did received a confirmation email (and subsciber number). The people running the subscription seem to be allowing a certain amount of leeway.
However, I haven’t had any payments taken, received any issues (default to issue 2 as being the first one I could subscribe from) or any other messages (email or post).
Suspect they may have been overwhelmed by the level of interest?

There seems to be stock for the shops ok, its possible they are waiting for the delivery of the Binder, everyone’s 1st free gift. Time ill tell i suppose but i’m picking each one up form a shop even though i have subscribed just i case the subscriptions prove to be a problem

Having done some browsing, seems that getting issues from various shops/newsagents etc isn’t the problem. It’s getting the subscriptions up and running that’s being delayed.
As a subscriber (I hope!) living outside the test area I’ve also been trying to source copies from elsehwhere (eg auction sites). Don’t mind paying cover price+postage+’finders fee’.
So if anyone (in the test area) can put together (a few spare) sets of all the test issues …
(everyone in the rest of the UK, please form an orderly queue – after me? 😉

Thanks for update. I am waiting for 1,2 and 3. When I subscribed I could only do it from issue 2 and back-ordered 1. This was 26th February and I did get a generic letter soon afterwards.

I have been quite disappointed not to get this, but at least we are in the same boat.

Anyone else waiting for their back-order of issue 1?

They will stop publishing until some point between Septemeber and January at which point they restart the collection but for the whole country.

Of course they might not even get to issue six, depends how it all works out.

they will get to issue 6 or at least issue 5. Only if they deem this test a success will it get a full nationwide launch later this year, otherwise no more issues will be made.

      The Slitheen maybe?

    • dave

      March 23rd, 2013 - 3:49pm

      4th- Weeping Angel
      5th- Silurian Warrior
      6th- Dalek
There’s only 6 issue in the test set

    • Anonymous

      March 23rd, 2013 - 4:26pm

If the Slitheen do come out it will be in a special issue going by what has been said (probablly down to their size) so you won’t find them in the main set.
