Figurine Collection Magazine Junk Tardis Console #8

Available to order white stocks last via sci-fi collectors from www.ebay.co.uk

Trapped by the malevolent, extradimensional predator known only as “House”, the Eleventh Doctor was forced to construct a makeshift TARDIS. Built from the flotsam of House’s previous Gallifreyan victims, this “junk TARDIS” was a ramshackle engine with just three walls – and a highly irregular control console.

Lacking many of the traditional features of a TARDIS, such as its protective outer shell, this improvised time machine was highly unreliable and incredibly dangerous. It functioned only with the direct support of Idris – another victim of House, who served as a host for the matrix of the Doctor’s own TARDIS.

      unfortunately now it is.

I was surprised the administrators did not put a brief statement on the website or social media telling people what to do but in law they only have to advertise it in the London gazette.

I’m really sorry to hear that, Crosby. From what I’d read, in some cases you can have up to 540 days for a chargeback, so do try with your card company – you’ve nothing to lose in trying. I would also point out to them that the administrators weren’t the best at putting out information on what to do (what booboo says) and some of the items had later and later release dates – in theory you could be within 120 days for some of them where they kept being put back. You could at least get some back. I’ll wish you luck, but do act quickly.

you can try, the main thing to push is Eaglemoss kept changing the release date and then website kept saying down for maintenance back soon.

at no time was there any official communication with customers that had paid money that they had gone into administrator

If that doesn’t work go the ombudsman that’s what they are there for.

If you mean Eaglemoss you wont get them or any money back now from them as they don’t exist.

Only way was to claim from your bank/card provider.

Please say you started a chargeback process last year. You’re meant to ask within 120 days of the failed delivery date, otherwise you’re really going to have to plead with your card provider and hope they make an exception or goodwill gesture. PayPal is 180 days I think now, but you’d still need to move fast.

Unlike the specials and figurines, the magazines were pre packed in the box for these.

At this stage they are only selling old Eaglemoss stock, some of which maybe stuff that never made it to the old shop but there is nothing “new” at this stage. They are owned by Heathside Collectables who also own Khadou who say they have a new Doctor Who licence but at the moment its all Big Chief Produced items.

You could try emailing Sci Fi Collector on Ebay. They were very helpful letting me know if they had stock left of the Cleaning Robot and when they would re-list it.

Seem to have a fair amount of the console which they release in batches.

In response to the comments about Evri – I ordered this Tardis console on the 19th December and it was delivered today by Evri so not really sure why others have experienced a bad service. I have ordered several items via the well known auction site and have not yet had any problems with Hermes (Evri) and the app has proved to be very reliable regarding time and date of delivery.
I have had more problems with Royal Mail but of course, this is in response to the series of strikes which is totally understandable.

I am in the same position. I have had loads of stuff through Evri and no problems at all. Royal Mail however have been poor recently due to strikes no doubt. Still waiting for an item I ordered in November (tracked too).

Might sound mad, but I’ve decided not to order it purely for the fact they are using Evri to deliver it.
I’d rather have royal mail and wait the extra week or so.

Never had a problem with Evri. However I am still waiting for colour ink cartridge I ordered back in November 22nd and still waiting for Royal Mail to deliver it. According to the tracking its in transit ! Had to order another lot from Amazon and got it in 3 days.

      December 21st, 2022 - 11:39am

Just seen lots of angry customers recently with missing parcels and the bad reviews are piling up with Evri to the point its reached the news. I know it’s the same with any company but the amount of people in my village that have had deliveres to the wrong address is concerning (Facebook posts etc) Which is prpbably more a driver issue. And for £50 I’m not taking the chance.

    • Doug Who

      December 21st, 2022 - 12:38pm

Hermes clearly tried to rebrand to counter their negative image and poor service but don’t seem to have solved the problems! As you say Judooning it seems to be drivers not knowing where they are delivering to!

Having said that I’ve only had one parcel be delivered to the wrong address and disappear and both Cleaner Robot and Junk Console arrived safely. If you’re buying through Ebay and it doesn’t arrive, you should be covered.

On another note the Eaglemoss Ninth/Tenth Console seems to be turning up for sale on some websites…not so far with Sci Fi Collector.

Yeah, I understand you. Evri just ‘lost’ my Bradley Doctor & TARDIS…

    • Martino

      December 21st, 2022 - 3:58pm

Evri delivered my First Doctor TARDIS set five days after I ordered it from B&M, so it’s quite possible that for every collector reporting problems on forums, there are dozens quietly taking delivery without hassle. That said, this year I stopped using Argos as an eBay collection point, because of the number of parcels RM tracked as delivered to the branch that they could not find on their shelves. It seems everything is breaking down. :O(

Ben said there would be news soon ‘on all fronts’ but didn’t mention the Figurine Collection specifically. Hope there are positive developments on things like Karvanista and the Movellan soon.

Treat yourself werewolf. You may change your mind in time about the story. the doctors wife isn,t an all time favourite of mine but its quirks and eccentric characters i liked and those scenes with Rory and Amy losing each other in the TARDIS and the idea of a sentient TARDIS work and quite moving at the end thanks to the excellent Suranne Jones.

Mainly thanks to Surname Jones, I thought it was a cracking episode. I mentioned once before about her performance. Some of the Best acting I’ve seen in Dr Who.

Guessing it won’t be in scale with normal Tardis consoles but more akin to the oversized Wooden console of Season 14.

Hopefully we’ll get 9th/10th and 11th first console next.

Rani’s console the 3rd Dr’s as seen in The Three Doctors and the Master’s as seen in The Time Monster…(first time I saw the Dr’s and Master’s TARDISes in colour in 1972.) should complete the set for me. Can’t say I’m overly thrilled with this one although it’s a shade better than the 13th Dr.s.

Agree with you there. Spent about 5 hours trying to repair damaged Wooden Console after Eaglemoss sent a replacement which was even more damaged than original. Neither deliveries any good. These things need to be passed from fan to fan, rather than subject to warehouse, road, warehouse, road etc

I picked up my wooden console on ebay for £4 as it’s top rail was smashed and the buyer had got a replacememnt. I did get all the parts too and managed to fix it so you would never know it was broken but it shows how delicate these can be clearly the package doesn’t help as much as it should…unless they are thrown about Ace Ventura style by all the delivery people.
