Bellal, the brave little alien that helped the Doctor not only end the power-draining tyranny of the City of the Exxillons, but also helped him defeat the Daleks, thereby also saving the entire galaxy from a deadly space plague in the 1974 adventure Death to the Daleks.

The figurine has been meticulously crafted in specially formulated metallic resin and is painted by hand.

Does anyone know if any of the scheduled figurines after this one were produced? If so, which ones? I’ve ordered the set of three (217, 218, 219) from Sci-Fi Collector, but just curious if there are any more. Also, is there any likelihood the range will be continued by someone else?

Sci-Fi Collector are selling 217, 218 and 219 in their store at St Albans on the 18th March.
“Russ Jenkins (Sci-Fi Collector) posted yesterday that it will be worthwhile for anyone that turns up on the Day as there is going to be more Exciting News and more New Reveals”

It seems possible that three further figurines might be released, Vinder, the Elder Ood and the Black Guardian. Hopefully that’s what Russ is hinting at. Be nice if it did round it off with a few more.

Such a shame the collection is done but so good to get these final releases. I can’t wait to see Bellal and the Movellan in hand!

220 and 222 are likely the final ones as the rest never went into production.

Pleased we are getting bellal, movellan and fingers crossed for the black guardian. Does anyone know if the mega dalek from death to the daleks was just planned or were any made?

The ‘Death to the Daleks’ mega never went into full production unfortunately. Same with the ‘ Image of the Fendahl’ story set which I was particularly looking forward to.

Let’s hope he was far enough in production that he can be sold off by the admins, or of course preferably Eaglemoss climbs out of admin. It’ll be a pity if we don’t get this guy.

I think he would make for a great special edition!

Sometimes the creatures that were less successful on screen have made fantastic figurines so I think the Garm could be brilliant.

    • Coleman

      February 17th, 2022 - 6:02pm

      Garm, yes, Excellent.
Love to see Robert Tackle this bad boy.
I think I would be disappointed if the Collection ends without him in my collection.
Check out Rob Whites version of him on Flickr it’s superb.

      February 17th, 2022 - 9:18pm

Just had a look Coleman and that is indeed a fantastic Garm! And ooh look…a Krarg!

Rob has completed a really spectacular range of custom figures. There’s even a Nucleus of the Swarm there – brilliant! Speaking of customs, just before the Harrops version arrived, I completed an Eaglemoss size custom Troll Doll. It is so tiny but but came out quite well and was fun to do. I’ll send in photos when I get time.

    • Coleman

      February 18th, 2022 - 11:20am

Yes Doug. I was going to say send some Photos in.
Those Rob White Customs are about the Best I’ve seen on the internet for 5 inch scale figures and there’s also a Wide Variety aswell.
He uses old Character Option 5 inch figures as a base so the “New” custom figure is fully Articulated aswell. (It’s a Great idea).
Ergon 1st saw the Customs and mentioned them to me.

    • Coleman

      February 18th, 2022 - 11:24am

Ergon. Have you checked out Rob Whites Flickr account alately, he’s added a few more figures. Theirs both versions of the Yeti now. What a couple of beauties.

I’m sure they will do that at some point but at the moment a dalek with a different gun is a bit boring for a figure compared to a figure such as Bellal. The Gatling gun dalek may be released as a rare dalek

Youve got me hearing that eerie incidental theme with the Exxilons chanting inbetween now Popplewick.

    • Popplewick

      February 16th, 2022 - 2:55pm

It’s an oft overlooked story ‘Death to the Daleks.’ There’s something of that image of the chanting Exxilons surrounding a burning Dalek that sticks in the mind. And the Daleks are even more vicious than ever avenging their losses with those machine guns.

    • Dalekz

      February 16th, 2022 - 3:56pm

Me too I can hear that chanting as well as that sound of the Dalek percusion guns.
I always loved the inside of the city building with the traps! We do have to talk about the Daleks owning a little model Tardis for target practice tho lol

    • Popplewick

      February 16th, 2022 - 4:46pm

Lol I was outraged when that TARDIS target was shot to pieces first time the episode was shown.

    • the ergon

      February 16th, 2022 - 5:33pm

The miniature TARDIS shows the Daleks have a devilishly playful side.

    • Rory

      February 17th, 2022 - 11:53am

I love the little TARDIS model. It suggests that there is an arts and crafts Dalek onboard.

    • Popplewick

      February 16th, 2022 - 4:50pm

I love the root – it’s a cross between a cobra and the ever impressive probe put out by the Martians in the 1953 version of War of the Worlds. I like how Pertwee cheers it on when its attacking a Dalek. ‘A palpable hit Sir !

    • the ergon

      February 16th, 2022 - 5:06pm

Mm, and very similar to the probe in The Krotons. Maybe they are all related.

    • the ergon

      February 16th, 2022 - 5:29pm

The scenes in the quarry are good when it shows the Root attacking with backscreen. Its a pity you can see the crane wire in the hovering long shots. i hope there comes a time when they can digitally remove those wires or exposed boom. Its the same when the third Doctor is hanging from the outside of the spacecraft in Frontier. It sort of ruins the illusion. They could have it as optional.
