Figurine Collection Magazine Issue 195 Bok

Available to order from www.forbiddenplanet.com

The Doctor Who Figurine Collection part 195 features Bok from the 1971 Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee) adventure ‘The Daemons’. When the disguised Master arrived at the village of Devil’s End, he formed a cult to awaken the ancient Daemon known as Azal.

His control of the villagers was cemented by the stony church gargoyle, “Bok”, animated by Azal’s power to act as the Master’s enforcer. This highly detailed, hand-painted 1:21-scale figurine comes complete with a 16-page authoritative magazine.

Booboo, his it just me or does this version of Bok look like it’s just come out of the mould without being painted or any weathering added?

could be, not sure how they might paint a weathered effect on these without it looking terrible though

Just been looking at some old Character Options Bok photos, Booboo.
Doesn’t look like theirs any weathering on him either.
One thing I’ve noticed though, is the Grey colour is almost identical to the prop photos, which does seem to be a big improvement.

I refuse to die until someone anywhere makes a figure, figurine, ornament, Christmas decoration etc. of the Trickster. I just need that monster design somewhere on my shelf

I have as big a wishlist as anyone, but most will not be made so I will confine myself to asking for an original Thal, and the 1st doctor popping out of the dalek from the Space Museum – please not a special dalek, as I am not a subscriber but have bought all of the main series plus the companions, time lord victorious etc.

Micheal, what did you reckon to the Eaglemoss pin badge with the 1st Doctor popping out of the Dalek?

I don’t collect pin badges but am pleased for those who do.

Some very good wishlists above, having collected these figurines from issue #1 (my favourites are Third Doctor Green Death figurine and Omega from Arc of Infinity, and Signal Relay Cyberman from ROTC), I’d really like to see these figurines included in the collection:

    1. The Terileptil Android.
    2. First Doctor popping out from inside a Dalek (from the Space Museum) – rare dalek?
    3. Damaged Cyberman (reeling back, spear in arm, damaged Chest Unit) from The Five Doctors.

Crosby, it sounds like you are referring to this week’s inaccurate e-mail to subscribers with Direct Debits, that only goes up to May and just shows issue 200 on its own for that shipment. I’ve had several of these ‘payment schedule’ e-mails from them down the years and they are often not up-to-speed with what Neil Corry and his boss Ben have already announced. Trust me, you will be getting 200 and 201 in that shipment and it is defintely confirmed as now going up to ‘at least 220’ since Ben announced it at the Eaglemoss talk/panel at NY Comicon about last October.

Gareth pugh your wrong as I gave them a call about a week ago on a separate enquiry I asked while I was on the phone to them how many left and I was told 200 I’ve always asked every time a call them with an enquiry and they have always been true

Costumer service may not have been updated especially with people working remotely, this often happens. Neil Corry has confirmed he is working on past 200 to 220 just a few comments down

Sorry Crosby, the wider point I was making there was: there have been numerous times when customer services (the call centre and those who handle update e-mails to subscribers) are not in possession of the most up to date information. Neil and Ben’s announcements (i.e. the editorial team part of the business) are always who I’d listen to first based on past experience of EM. So if Customer Services were to tell me last week it’s 200, and Ben announces at Comicon last October it is now 220 (and Neil, part of Ben’s team, reiterates the same in about Jan of this year) – for me, the latter are the ‘definitive latest answer’. I think some people think that ‘if anyone will know, Customer Services would’ and for a lot of companies, I’m sure that’s true. I think some have taken it that CS saying 200 recently is an update to the situation and that it’s gone back down from 220 to 200. That’s not the case.
