I phoned them again today and finally got confirmation that I AM subscribed! Finally! Although they had it down as standard not premium so I got them to change it to premium, I want all those Daleks! She said I would get my first issues in a few weeks, so I guess subscribers have to wait longer than the people who buy them in shops…

They only took £2.99 for the first issue, I thought it would’ve been £3.99 as I’m supposed to be premium, time will tell if they’ve got it right or not.

Some more information that I managed to get out of the makers

1.They have not confirmed specials yet are looking into it
2.The website will be continually be updated with a list of upcoming figurines
3.They dodged my question on doing all companions by saying they have not confirmed the figurines for all the issues yet
    4. At the moment only 80 issues planned, will keep us updated if there is any extensions to the collection
5.They are discussing at the moment whether 12th Doctor will be included will let us know ASAP when they know

While it is being a bit picky, the 2010 model is “The Supreme” as opposed to a “Dalek Supreme”.

If it isn’t a simple mistake then “Dalek Supreme” refers to any of a number of leaders that appeared in various stories between The Chase and Remembrance of the Daleks.

Either way, the 2010 one was mentioned in some of the promotional material in the test run so very likely will be in the range at some point.

The problem with Sontaran figures is they all look alike.

Just release a modern Sontaran Commander figure and you’ve got Strax (I thought it was rather hilarious when people demand a 5” Strax figure because we’ve already got one).

I think he means in his butler outfit

    • Doctor Stu

      August 5th, 2013 - 8:06pm

But the Skorr and General Staal Figures were noticeably different because my Staal is perfect for detail and Skorr looks completely different so I think a Strax figure can be achieved that looks different out the other sontarans even without his butler outfit

    • Doctor Stu

      August 5th, 2013 - 8:08pm

..and remember these figurines are detailed down to the slightest wrinkle and crease.

    • Anonymous

      August 5th, 2013 - 11:54pm

I think you’ve missed the point though, Staal and Skorr were played by different actors so the figures should look different.

However, Skorr (who has a figure) is the same actor as Strax (and also the same rank so they have the same armour) so in a way it is the same figure down to the slightest wrinkle and crease.

You could kill a few birds with one stone (just aim it at the probic vent and that’s three Sontarans from the new series gone).

    I need help:

When it says if I want to receive the stands every 10 issues, tick if I DON’T want them, do you not get the first one free anyway?

    • dalek62

      August 4th, 2013 - 10:27pm

i presume you can cancel the stands at a later date anyway

    • The Supreme Dalek

      August 4th, 2013 - 10:47pm

Yes but do you get the first display stand free?

    • booboo

      August 4th, 2013 - 10:49pm

      yes

    • The Supreme Dalek

      August 5th, 2013 - 8:49am

Ok, so to clarify this, when I subscribe I will get the first stand and binder free. If I don’t tick the boxes I will receive the stands every 10 issues.

Alright, I was considering to subscribe and if I do I’ll probably tick the boxes as I’m not really really wanting the stands.

Does the premium Subscription still have the four free gifts?

    • booboo

      August 5th, 2013 - 9:08am

      yes and yes

    • The Supreme Dalek

      August 5th, 2013 - 10:12am

OK and my final two questions (Sorry!):

      • When would you receive the Emperor Dalek?
      • Every when would you receive a subscriber’s Dalek or if you get them all together, then when?

    • booboo

      August 5th, 2013 - 10:14am

with your 4th delivery so issues 7-8 possibly

Daleks will be every few issues probably around every 10

      August 5th, 2013 - 10:17am

Ok thanks so much for your help booboo! 🙂

I have to be honest and say that the redone 11th isn’t much better than the test version.

    • Anonymous

      August 4th, 2013 - 11:55pm

While Capaldi’s Doctor hasn’t been confirmed in the line-up (only three have actually) it seems incredibly likely that his Doctor will show up in the range at some point.

Hurt should show up as well, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t.

    When it says…..

As a subscriber you will automatically receive display plinth as they come available at £14.99 each every 10 issues. Tick here if you DO NOT wish to receive them.

As a subscriber you will automatically receive binders every 16 issues at £6.99 each. Tick here if you DO NOT wish to receive them.

Does this mean you will have to pay an additional 14.99 every 10 issues and an additional 6.99 every 16 issues. If so will it be better off to tick no on these options?

No it was not available with the test run.

You get one base free, after that you can get another one every ten issues if you want to pay for them.

  • Booboo Jr

    August 4th, 2013 - 5:28pm

Am I the only one who won’t be getting these?

As brilliant as they look, this sort of collection always seems to exceed the planned amount of issues.

Take the DVD Files for example. There were only 28 planned originally, and that number just seemed to keep rising; we’ve now had almost 120 Issues!

I don’t want to be paying £6.99 every fortnight without knowing when it’s going to end. So instead, I want to start getting a few more Classic Figure Sets.

I’m the same, the DVD files got too much to handle and it was extended all the time so I just had to cancel it.

    • Radburn

      August 5th, 2013 - 9:34am

I’m not either – I originally subscribed but the Database Factory that deals with the distribution is incompetent & not worth the hassle of dealing with. I have read other comments here on the site that say the actual delivery (Through the post) is pretty dire as well. They only send them out in a plastic sleeve resulting in a lot of cases with damage to the items enclosed.

    • booboo

      August 5th, 2013 - 9:37am

Another thing to watch out for is that they have clearly changed the 11th Doctor to a better figure so they are going to have to start at the begging to be fair to those would already had something

    • booboo

      August 5th, 2013 - 9:35am

I agree that can be a problem, however the DVD files crosses over into DVD’s people may already have purchased

Not a problem here and lest face it this could build into an incredible collection

I am still going to subscribe because i want the collection despite their poor service and to lack of information for those who signed up ages ago

only that its 80 figures so i assume 80 issues

I know want you mean though we dont want them to carry on after 80 at £7.99 with no news on addition Daleks

Also works out at over £10 a Dalek over the 80 issues which seems a lot

    • Anonymous

      August 4th, 2013 - 3:31pm

Well there’s the display stand which should be £15 going by the price of the other one, then the seven Daleks. I’d say that works out around £64 in normal prices, but these are exclusives I guess.

An extra pound per issue works out at £79, provided that number doesn’t include special issues which could knock a few pounds off its still a bit pricey.
