Figurine Collection Magazine Tardis Console #3 The 1st Doctor

Introducing the first TARDIS console model that debuted in 1963 alongside the First Doctor as the next Special Edition of our Doctor Who Figurine Collection!

The First Doctor’s Tardis Console Model brings to life the original console that first appeared in the adventure An Unearthly Child (1963) and last appeared in The War Games (1969). It had a hexagonal shape with different controls on each of the panels and a central time rotor which moves when the TARDIS is in flight.

This Tardis Console Model: The First Doctor, made from a high-quality polyresin, meticulously recreates the console as seen in the 50th-anniversary drama “An Adventure In Space And Time”, that explored the origins of Doctor Who. The model was carefully hand-painted to capture the pale green colour of the original console and every button, switch and panel that brings to life the console that served five Doctors until it was updated in 1971s adventure Claws of Axos .

Product Features:

  • The console measure approx 8.7 cm tall
  • Comes with a removable casing of clear plastic
  • Material: Metallic Resin, carefully produced in 1:21 scale
  • Hand-painted for incredible detail
  • Great gift for Doctor Who fans

The Tardis Console Model comes complete with a magazine detailing this console’s place in history, its functionality and use in the adventures. We look at the making of the ever-changing TARDIS console that appeared in the series from 1963 to 1969.

Mine arrived Thursday, time rotor section was in bits. However otherwise very impressed with the overall console, much better quality compared to the 5 Doctors version.

@ Anonymous…… Where??? Where is this poor paint job?… This really bad paint job??? i have this in hand and it’s painted wonderfully. it matches the First Doctors Tardis perfectly! cmon…. be honest and tell the truth…. it looks good but you can’t get it for some reason! you’re one of those negative people that have to put down things people like in hopes that there is someone that may agree with you this validating you! plus… you have to admit that you haven’t really seen much of the first Doctors Tardis since you basically only watch “New Who”! Follow that saying that mothers always have to say….. “ If you don’t have anything nice to say….., DON’T SAY AT ALL!! So….. back to my original question….,
Where on this is the bad paint job or Poor paint job? (Not to burst your bubble but this is actually a really Nice and Beautiful paint job….. Go back to some of the first figures offered…. now those paint jobs you’d be right about!

This really is a fab console release, detail is superb and the painting is very neat and accurate, I’ve been very impressed with this collection , if I’ve ever had a breakage or painting error eaglemoss have sent me a replacement rapidly, so hats off to them.

Cyber bill, I find sometimes that anonymous=troll alert, best ignored.

Slight correction to the description blurb – this console appeared on screen up to Inferno, not The War Games.

The Mind Robber (who is involved in designing these consoles) lists the different versions on his website. He lists a separate “Version 1.1” for the Inferno appearance and notes that various repairs are visible in The Ambassadors of Death (but still has that under “1.0”).

I can understand them listing the cut off as The War Games if a “Season 7” version could be released at a future date.

This is so Wonderful to see at last a model release of the original Console. We fans who have been there from the beginning have wanted one of these to own for years. The closest we ever got was a cut away on the back of a Weetabix Box. A Huge Thank you to all concerned who have been behind this and giving the fans the chance to have the original and best console in their collections.

If the buttons are in different places then it can’t be the same sculpt.

I was wondering would Eaglemoss go back to the Peter Capaldi era? Prentis,Sandmen, Leandro, Harmony Shoal, Ice Warrior Friday, Giant Monk.

Missy, skovox blitzer, dream crab (like lin with dalek mutant), fake Odin, bonnie (covers both zygon and clara), ashildr, Fleming (husbands of river song), heather, eater of light creature, 12th doctor console

I’d really love to see missy, skovox blitzer, fake Odin, Leandro, sandman and the console (my favourite of all time)

And to answer your question, they’re doing a figurine of rassilon from hell bent

I think the Capaldi era is already well covered, but I would especially like to see Missy, the Skovox Blitzer, Santa Claus, Moran’s Ghost, Leandro, the half human/Zygon man (forgot his name), Sandmen, a Trap Street Alien, Heather, and maybe Lord Sutcliffe just to represent Thin Ice (it’s one of my favourite and underrated episodes!)

Five doctors console states removable casing of clear plastic just as the 4th doctors console did, however the 1st doctors says adjustable plastic casing? The ability to make it rise and fall? Because that would be fantastic

With the Five Doctors console, can we assume we will be getting 5th doctor in hat, Tegan in punk skirt/ Fur coat and Turlough to stand around it in companion set 9. i,d like to think so, given the First Doctor and companions will have theirs.

It would be scandalous if there wasn,t a fifth doctor companion set to accompany this now you,ve gone to the trouble of doing this wonderful console.

      November 28th, 2019 - 5:55pm

Would prefer a Doc, Tegan and Nyssa set which wouldn’t go with this console.

    • Anonymous

      November 29th, 2019 - 6:52am

5, tegan, nyssa and adric is probably the most iconic 5th doctor team in my opinion, like rose and 10, 11 and Amy, 2 and Jamie, and going along with the 4 figurines sets they seem to be doing right now, I presume that it has the highest chance out of all the 5th doctor teams of being made.

      November 29th, 2019 - 8:21am

I know thats one dream companion set that fans want done. For me personally, before any others. I was merely second guessing a sort of Five Doctors set to accompany this console which isn,t happening. Unless i,m being put off the scent.

      November 29th, 2019 - 1:48pm

I’ve said elsewhere that we’ll be seeing how well the four-figurine sets do before committing to more. The next two “companion sets” are something different again.

      November 29th, 2019 - 1:52pm

three figure sets? perhaps 5, teegen and turlough?
just guessing but what ever it is i am sure it will be fantastic like always!!!

      November 29th, 2019 - 2:29pm

Three, Four I,m happy whatever comes next, just keep them coming. I can,t see these failing to get the numbers. I would think the four packs would sell equally as well if the prices are reasonable. Having the consoles to go with them are a bonus.
