Dr Who Figurine Collection The Tardis Issue 1

Get ready for a journey through time – introducing The Eleventh Doctor’s TARDIS Model which joins our Doctor Who Figurine Collection!

Instantly recognizable and beautifully blue, the TARDIS is the iconic time machine from Doctor Who. This model features the design used by the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith), as it appeared in his debut 2010 episode, The Eleventh Hour, and was created with the schematics used to build the actual TARDIS prop in the BBC TV series.

Time And Relative Dimension In Space! The Doctor’s TARDIS has changed its design many times over 50 years of adventures – all in the iconic shape of a blue British police box. Now in retail-and-collector-friendly packaging, this series depicts the iconic time machine in highly detailed 1:21 scale.

Product Features:

  • The TARDIS stands at approx 11.5cm tall
  • Material: Hand-Painted Resin, carefully produced in 1:21 scale
  • Hand-painted for incredible detail
  • Great gift for Doctor Who fans

The Eleventh Doctor’s TARDIS Model comes complete with a 20-page magazine that looks at your model in more detail and the adventures the Eleventh Doctor has in his iconic iteration of the TARDIS.

The “new” Tardis left and right and the original centre. The St Johns logo is crisper on the new edition and the window are now stickers rather than hand painted. They have gone with a “solid” box rather than a window box originally shown in previews.

Sorry, but I am a bit disappointed! Well the windows look fine, but the painting of the lantern is very poor! And of all there is NO wooden surface or familiar structure on the TARDIS! It looks a bit loveless and cheap…

Im cancelling my cyber controller and reordering. Ill not make the same mistake again. I just dont know why they dont start the price at a discount to start with as an incentive.

Was there ever a chance of the St John’s badge not being there? Or was this a worry about nothing?

Is that similar to product placement they can sell the item as it was seen as long if its not visible on the outside or in this case the outer packaging?

It would appear that way Egron. Got my issue and it seems that any images of the TARDIS that intend to represent the physical product such as the front cover don’t have the logo on. However any screen grabs direct from the episodes still include the logo.

I would like to add that this tweaked version of the TARDIS model is much more crisp in paint apps and in my opinion is a big improvement over the origional.

Presumably if Character do a Hartnell Dr and TARDIS set, either exclusive, or B&M release I presume the St Johns Logo will be on it, as it was on the unearthly child set.

Was wondering about ordering this as I already had the original release – but in hand this one is much better in every way… looking forward to others in the series now 😉

The solid box their using for the Tardis instead of a window box originally shown in previews is no doubt because more and more company’s are moving away from using plastic in their packaging.
It’s ok I suppose, but what if you like to display in box or like I usually do, check the paintwork on figures etc before purchasing. Especially the CO stuff in shops.

I think it’s to do with breakages.

Will Eaglemoss be moving away from all plastic packaging soon though Neil?
I know 10 years ago Hasbro was moving in this direction and said they would like to eliminate all plastic packaging by 2022. (I was wondering if Eaglemoss and CO were doing similar things).

Stickers? I suppose they will look less sloppy than the painted ones but they always come off.

Toughened. The stickers vastly improve on the original and the logos and doors are enhanced. The original looks inferior by comparison. I would much prefer future release use stickers instead of attempting tricky paintwork.

As long as they are quality stickers I agree, you hear stickers and you just think cheap but done right they can be fine.

they look quality, if you run a finger over the frames you can feel they are slightly raised as well

I’d be interested in a Mind Robber or Happiness Patrol variant.

The mind Robber might be a good idea for a console with Zoe clinging onto it screaming but yes the Happiness patrol pink TARDIS must simply be included along with Claras Memorial TARDIS

I’d love to see a Clara memorial next. that would be a definite purchase.

I think 1/1 scale would be better Neil, lol.

If they ever did the Master’s laser screwdriver and River Song’s screwdriver I’d certainly be interested in them!

I’d hope they’d light up and work like the actual prop, that’d be amazing!

Hoping for a few more classic consoles the Rani’s and I favour the excellent version of the Master’s Time Monster console. The Hartnell version of the exterior would be smashing.
