Dr Who Figurine Collection Special 24 Biomechanoid

Also available to order from www.forbiddenplanet.com

On the planet Svartos, the Doctor and Mel unexpectedly encounter an old friend – Sabalom Glitz. Joined by Ace, a teenage waitress with a love for explosives, the group ventures off to find the fabled Dragonfire treasure.

The 24th special figurine stands 120mm tall and comes with a fully illustrated magazine on the monster’s design and the making of ‘Dragonfire’, which also featured the departure of Bonnie Langford as Mel Bush and the debut of Sophie Aldred as companion Ace.

Just received the ‘Dragon’ and what an amazing figurine. Lovely detailing and colouring. These characters are what makes this collection so special!

I’m really hoping the regular collection goes beyond 200 (so there’s a chance the Krarg figurine might yet come!) but failing that I hope it goes the way of the Star Trek ships line and continues to release online specials. So many fantastic monsters and villains to do!

Will they go beyond 200 issues? Neil made a comment and everyone now thinks 200 is the end.

Neil has already confirmed that # 200 is the end – We will have to see on the other parts of the range?

Neil has not confirmed it’s the end at all. Why do people keep thinking he has?

Because people are “selective” when they look at whats been written without looking at the whole context.

It happens to me all the time.

“If it ends at 200” as opposed to “It will end at 200” – Big difference

Also if we are talking what we would like (really wanted) figures on my list.

Celestial toy maker and special of Weeping angle statue of liberty (and also the impossible “stained glass Dalek”)

That looks fantastic, I can’t wait for mine to arrive. Hopefully tomorrow. It looks to be an appropriate size next to the McCoy figurine.

Neil, is a Gelth Zombie planned? The action figure is great and I would love a figurine!

Now you mentioned that about the action figure.
      Got me thinking.
Also be great to have the Vespiform, which was very hard to collect the Character Options version.

No Gelth Zombie in the immediate future. I’d probably want to do the old lady Gelth Zombie.

Re Vespiform – you might want to catch yourself a giant* wasp. Like a Menoptera figurine, the wings are incredibly difficult/expensive to replicate.

      * When I say giant, I don’t mean big. I mean flipping enormous.

Thanks Neil, yes the Gelth Granny would be an amazing figurine!

Hi, just a quick message to say my local shop has been getting these figure magazines in for me from the very first issue. Never had a problem with them, just been up and got the river song figure only to be told after all these years that’s the last one they can get me. With only about 21 more to go I’ll have to subscribe for the rest.
    Grrrrrrrrr.

Just buy from the Eaglemoss shop when they come out, save the hassle of subscription this late on. The shop links at top of page.

It does say on the leaflet you can subscribe if you want to and they have added the option to subscribe on the website. (Links available on the Facebook page.) As I understand it’s only a standard/classic subscription on offer although someone mentioned they phoned up and signed up to a premium subscription. Hope this info helps.

Yes, this is a fantastic figure – I was very impressed when I received mine. Level of detail is excellent. I have placed this figure against the golden axon for wonderful complementary colour contrast!
