I still hope that if the collection does end at 200 that we get the new revolution dalek as a Rare Dalek and not in the main range as a ‘thank you’ for our support. That way another figurine space isn’t used up by a dalek.

Although, if in main range an extra Dalek is always good for me.

I wonder if we could get 1st Doctor in a Dalek as a Rare. That would be good variant.

I’m still waiting for my delivery of this and issues 180 and 181 but it’s nice to see in hand images beforehand.

The Death to the Daleks models have REALLY thick neck rings too. Shame as imo it spoils the models.

Not sure if this is old news but I saw today the Eaglemoss Dalek Parliament set along with some box sets of Ghost Buster, Marvel and Star Trek Figures in HMV store. Interesting that they are stocking these. Maybe just for Christmas?

Eaglemoss boxed sets have showed up in physical stores before. I found several last year and the tear before when I was looking for B&M Doctor Who sets.

Keep an eye on eBay – sooner or later a handful of subscribers with a ‘Premium’ level sub may decide to sell theirs. OR maybe – as one or two of the previous ‘Special Dalek’ models have been – they might include it in a future Dalek box set available to everyone?

Its one of those daleks that nicer in person, though where I’ll put it I have no idea.

Don’t really use the stands anymore

It baffles me how they just cannot get the numbers on the box right. Great Dalek design that I’ve wanted for ages though. I love the various appendages they had in the 60’s stories

its because the 2 gold plinths are classed as Daleks, odd i know buts that’s why its is.

I remember this, the Dalek that went on dragons den with a gadget to catch spiders.

Just out of curiosity, did they just take a dish from an invasion Dalek and plop it on a chase drone for the actual prop?

probably with bits stuck on, did you know that parts of the underneath of some of the Dalek ships seen in the new series were made up from Character remote controls?

I did not, but sounds interesting though, I will make sure to look out for that when I’m watching a new series Dalek story.

Really interesting. I think the large ring part in the middle of the picture might be a Character 13” Dalek cut up head part.

The hemispheres seem sloppily painted, you’d think they would paint them well on the promotional piece at least.

i never notice it on the actual Daleks, pictures are more than life size so pick up things you would not normally notice that much.

to be hoenst i don’t tend to scrutinise stuff that closely, some of the early Daleks were not brilliant to be fair but more recently have been pretty good, i tend to look at this collection as whole.

I’m mean who would have ever thought, an this is just one of the displays…

Wish I could display my Eaglemoss stuff, but unfortunately ran out of space along time ago. Most of my purchases just get boxed up now.

Nice display but i bet they gather a lot of dust quite easily. Prefer mine behind glass doors.

    • booboo

      September 19th, 2020 - 12:25pm

actually they don’t, its all in a shed with very little of the activity that creates dust, they have been their for about a year and are virtually as clean now as when i put them there.

      September 19th, 2020 - 4:11pm

I have mine in the spare room indoors and i see the figurines all the time. Its a Large Modern white oak cabinet, Wood shelves, glass door and you are right the more your indoors or have the windows open the more dust you build up, but the sealed glass means I spend less time dusting over mine. Yours looks rather clean and modern from the picture. I wouldn,t put my stuff into ours as its full of gardening equipment and tools. Only excess merchandise etc in sealed plastic containers goes in ours.

I say a shed yes it is but it’s just for the collection all insulated and heated in winter

      September 19th, 2020 - 4:53pm

My spare rooms full of boxed up collectibles from floor to ceiling. Can’t get in no more, just choc a block full.

To prevent more hoarding, i,d rifle through all those I couldn,t display and make a killing on Ebay. If I wasn,t having the pleasure of having them on display or not getting use of them they would have to go to make room for future releases, if there was no way to accommodate them at all.

I have one glass fronted bookcase full of collectables and the rest in sealed plastic boxes in the loft. I rotate every now and then. One day when the kids eventually move out I might get a room. I was a 5inch collector and when Eagle moss started I left it alone to concentrate on the larger scale but as those all dried up I went to these and am glad I did. I can fit a load more in and have characters I never dreamed we’d see. Still got the 7th doctor by dapol that I bought as a kid, only wish I still had my TARDIS play tent.
