Dr Who Figurine Collection #196 Mestor

Mestor, the cruel and gluttonous leader of the Gastropods, a species of slug-like aliens, joins the Doctor Who Figurines Collection.

The Gastropod eggs lay dormant on the planet Jaconda for centuries, forming part of its mythology, before they somehow hatched and the Gastropods returned, using their telepathic abilities to dominate the native Jacondans.

The insatiable appetites of the Gastropods left Jaconda a ravaged wasteland, and so Mestor planned to send its sun supernova, creating an explosion that would fling more Gastropod eggs across the galaxy. Then the Sixth Doctor uncovered the slug king’s plan…

The Mestor Figurine captures the likeness of the character and has been meticulously crafted in specially formulated metallic resin and painted by hand.

Product Features:

  • Material: Metallic Resin, carefully produced in 1:21 scale
  • Hand-painted for incredible detail to show all the little details
  • Great gift for Doctor Who fans

Accompanied by a 16-page magazine featuring information about your figurine and its creation.

One of those oddly dissonant occasions where I think the story is truly awful but this is just a fantastic figurine and I absolutely love it! I think because of the pose and that it is (obviously) static, the design works so much better than it did on screen.

It is really one of the strengths of this collection that we get these monsters that have never been done except by Harlequin of course but then they did almost everything up to 1996!

I really hope we get a few more less regarded classic monsters before the collection ends.
