I bought this and having not seen The next Doctor Live since it aired I found it incredibly melodramatic and quite hard to watch because it was so cringe-y. Half the ‘celebrity fans’ probably don’t know who William Hartnell was. And don’t get me started on Zoe Ball 😆 So… no. (though this is just my opinion 😛 )

Is this going to be in the cinema’s aspect ratio or the TV 16:9 aspect? A cinema aspect version would make me buy it as the series 8 version will surely be the TV version.

BREAKING NEWS!!! BBc shop just sent me an email saying due to an unfortunate manufacturing error they have had to hold the release date back a week to the 16th September. No idea what this flaw is but no one will be receiving this til the 16th. Wonder what error it could be. I suppose it could be the wholly unrelated cover or something else.

I thought it would be rated a 12 since Clara says “Bloody terrified” and the violence etc.

Bloody isn’t really a swear word, it’s about as bad as saying stupid or something.

This was an incredible feature length episode. It felt tonally and visually like a movie plus the camera shots used you don’t find often on Television. Capaldi was amazing in the very complex role of the doctor and really wowed me. I don’t usually buy standalones but it was so good in the cinema it would be an insult to Deep breath not to watch it next on Blu Ray its perfectly suited to that and the cinema.

PG? I was expecting it to be a 12 due to the dark scenes (Clara holding her breath and the villain’s fate) and fan service (you know what I’m talking about).

If this sells good numbers, more will come.
This is not a product for fans but for casual buyers in supermarket.

I would say it’s the opposite. This is for fans who are avid collectors who will buy this even thoguh the episode will be on the complete set.

If they are releasing thins individually, then I hope they continue to release this series individually. If they don’t, if they just release this, then the complete series 8, I will be annoyed!! I need continuity on my shelves!!!!!

I guarantee this is the only individual release because it’s feature length. The rest will only be on the complete set.

If it was released individually it would cost over £100 so I don’t see the point of each episode being released on its own.
