Loving that it’s an Eleventh Doctor and Clara story. Haven’t had many full-length novels with those two except Shroud of Sorrow (and the more recent Target books). They only have short stories like Into The Nowhere or Normality or Clara and the Maze of Cui Plata, so this will be a nice addition

Booboo: Just got an email from Amazon saying this title won’t be released now until April 2023 – It was slated for release Oct 2022. No idea for the delay?

seeing quite a few getting pushed into 2023, could be Author delays so missing their print run, also part shortages in some places, could be anything really.

Seems to be that Jacqueline Rayner had to pull out so the book needed to be rewritten. The new author is Bali Rai.

“The Fifth Doctor (Matt Smith) takes to the high seas in a Treasure Island inspired adventure”
It looks like Penguin Books has recast the Fifth Doctor…. LOL

Don’t worry, that’s not the only thing Amazon’s got wrong, it also says the authour is the brilliant Jac Rayner, but she’s tweeted me back saying it’s probably Paul Magrs as she’s not written it

I wonder if the continuing story of Division does become Cannon and indeed Hartnell wasn’t the 1st Doctor, infact their was many more before him. I should imagine all the Doctors will be recast and have different numbers?

I don’t think they’ll ever renumber the Doctors at all Coleman, no matter what happens in canon.

After all Matt is the 11th, Peter the 12th and Jodie the 13th to everyone when in fact they are actually the 13th, 14th and 15th already thanks to the War Doctor and Double-David.

The numbers now are more the popularised actor number rather than the specific Doctor number. With those added in retrospectively not getting numbers but being called “War”, “Fugitive”, “Morbius” and likely “Division” Doctors.
