    • Anonymous

      July 24th, 2015 - 6:13pm

By buying it from our more fortunate American cousins on eBay for about 30 quid. Shame Titans don’t care about their UK customers.

Agreed! TITAN have screwed us over again. Still haven’t released the Canada Fan Expo figures here & now they advertise these for sale & promptly cancel all the orders. ebay is silly prices for the 10th in Fez. About £25 plus £14 postage plus £15 in duties = £54. Thanks for nothing TITAN!

I admit these will look good on a collectors shelf, but, more money for the consumer to payout and the makers to get more richer.

The thing that strikes me as odd, is that it has been said that the 5 inch action figures are expensive to make, yet we keep on seeing new vinyl figures, new 3.75 inch figures and recently the £70 K9 r/c toy.

If there isnt enough funds to create 5 inch figs, where is the money coming from for all this other merchamdise, or is it all coming from the tax payers wallet? And by the way, Dr Who Lego? They look laughable. Seriously?

At the Moment the Titans are big sellers in the USA and AUS (like Funkos), the 3.75″ is currently supported but all major mass market retailers, many were no longer supporting the 5″ line

K9 was a tweeked version of an already and paid for developed model.

      Tax payers money? No Chance

and like someone else said businesses are in business to make money, if you ever work for a company it will be what pays your wages

The silver lining in all this is that as fans we can pick and choose from several (and very different) ranges and different companies and we are not limited to Depol 4 inch like we were when I was a kid or Character 5 inch like we were for a number of years after the show was relaunched.

For all I agree that the 5 inch range is by far the best…if it doesn’t sell to the masses…then there is no point making them in mass…however, another silver lining is that instead of Character churning out 5 inch figures we never really cared about, we are now being treated to a couple of 5 inch exclusives a year and not only are the figures the ones we want, but the quality is better too.

All that said, I’m not sure why Titans have moved into a 3rd size…but hey, its like I said – we can pick and choose what we collect/buy for fun. Personally I collect the 3 inch range, but not the 6 inch range….but could be tempted to buy this 4.5 inch Tux figure as a one off for my desk…..its just good to have the choice and we are spoilt for it these days.

Seriously, you’re complaining about consumers buying to make the makers richer? You have the choice to buy a product or not. No one’s forcing you to buy them.

      June 16th, 2015 - 7:59am

Actually we don’t have the choice. I have no problem with them selling 3,000 Limited Edition figures at the SDCC. The thing I don’t agree with is AVAILABILITY. If they then release them through Forbidden Planet two weeks later then fine. But not all variants have made it to the UK. So no, we don’t have a choice.

God they love pumping out the tiniest variants of these things and slapping “Exclusive” on em don’t they? XD

I don’t see why they keep doing so many 10th Doctor ones though, yea he seems to be the most popular of the new series Doctors but I’d like to see some more 12th Doctor variants.

Because trying to get hold of them is a nightmare. If they turn up in the UK great. But some haven’t. How are you supposed to collect all these silly variants? It’s mostly just tweaks on a 10th. or 11th. Doctor figure anyway. It’s just a till-ring process for TITAN.

Always strikes me odd when people think think businesses shouldn’t do things to make money – that’s what people go into business for and usually put everything on the line to do it.

Of course businesses do everything to make money otherwise it puts future production, owners and employees livelihoods and probably personal investments at risk.

      June 13th, 2015 - 8:20am

I really think these are the 6.5 size. I heard a lot of the exclusives are going to be 6.5 inch. I hope they do better ones than these. I personally am not a fan of these. I hope they do some more 12th Doctor ones and hopefully some classic Who ones.

    • Cyberman Bill

      June 13th, 2015 - 8:22am

Also, what makes me think these are 6.5 is that they already had a 10th Doctor in tux in the smaller line I think.
