Got this, thought I built this quite well for my first go at building one of these. The plastic ‘screws’ were a little fiddly though.

      August 14th, 2014 - 10:36am

Me too, I was lucky my local Argos had one of each set. But all to often they have two of the same set so you can’t do the two for £15 thing.

Hope we have Rory and river to complete angels take manhattan but it’s very unlikely 🙁 😥

    • Doctor Stu

      July 27th, 2014 - 6:07pm

You never know I’d love a river and there’s loads of possible varients. And Amy needs a husband (also she’s from asylum of the Daleks so there’s nothing that says a Rory can’t be made)

    • Cammythechangeling

      July 29th, 2014 - 10:42am

But it took them till series 7 or something to make one so I think we will have a long wait for a river and rory…

Can you remove the weeping angel images booboo or anyone who has the set, or are they part of the main backdrop?

    • booboo

      July 27th, 2014 - 4:09pm

there is only one on the right side in the doorway which lenticular and stuck on, would be difficult to cover it with something though

the one on the stand is a figure which you dont get

    • The Twelfth Doctor

      July 27th, 2014 - 7:36pm

But seriously, don’t you think it’ll get a bit confusing? I mean, I would change my name, but I’m rather fond of it.

    • booboo

      July 27th, 2014 - 7:38pm

no need, you have a picture and they dont, first time poster as well i wouldn’t worry

Just wasted 30 mins of my life messing around in Argos….no luck, they only had the Hide set. I’ll just wait for these to hit normal shops….the potential saving of £5 from Argos just isn’t worth the hassle… really isn’t.

The Dalek and angel sets were the only ones I wanted but the hide set looks good as well

    • Doctor Stu

      July 27th, 2014 - 11:15am

Meant to say this to the comedy below but yes…cool

  • Dalekmus Prime

    July 27th, 2014 - 1:35am

I think I might want this playset most after the Dalek one.

    July 26th, 2014 - 10:59pm

I got up early and reserved a figure as they only had one left, I wanted the genesis dalek, the asylum dalek and 12th Doctor. When I got there what had they reserved me? AMY!

    • JUICE

      July 26th, 2014 - 11:55pm

I was angry, they had no orange juice in the corner shop either! Just pineapple juice! So when this happened, I was furious!

    • Doctor Stu

      July 27th, 2014 - 12:02am

They only had one left though and it just happened to be Amy its not the shops fault unless they’re mind readers and changed your reservation just to annoy you but erm……I doubt it

    • JUICE

      July 27th, 2014 - 12:07am

The juice though! First no orange juice and now no Doctor Who figures! Miserable day…

  • Radburn

    July 26th, 2014 - 10:51pm

I’m wondering how much money the BBCShop lost due to not having either the playsets or figures up for Pre-order?

    • Doctor Stu

      July 27th, 2014 - 12:04am

Not lost just not earning. If the figures weren’t out yet the bbc shop wouldn’t be losing money it just wouldn’t be earning the money it would earn if the figures were out if you get what I mean (Wibbly wobbly timey wimey)

  • Trenzalore

    July 26th, 2014 - 9:06pm

These better be perfect in every way after the wait of… now what was it… oh yeah, over a year!
Maybe pick one up (I haven’t been collecting the play sets, just the figures.

hide and this are both pretty good!

  • CassiusX

Went to the Doctor Who event at Churnet Valley Railway today and it was dead. The reason, I heard, was that there was this flower show nearby and that’s where everybody was.

Now a while ago, I had a conversation with some other commentors about how Doctor Who is literally in our back gardens with Sec Scarecrows, Weeping Gnomes and Dalek Squirrels. But this tragic news that a bunch of Daffodils can get more people then a group of Daleks is just taking the mickey.

  • 100000BC

    July 26th, 2014 - 7:07pm

Not sure about getting this, or even the Hide set… If you can remove the weeping angel images from the background I’d be more likely to consider it (for me the Dalek time zone set’s only downfall was the Dalek elements in the background which made the set look silly in, say, a Cyberman invasion)

The Dalek patrol ship and Genesis Dalek, 10th and 12th Doctors take priority for me, along with Amy.

  • the astronaut of death

    July 26th, 2014 - 7:03pm

booboo how big are the cherubs compared to 5 icnh figures

  • StetsonDoctor

    July 26th, 2014 - 6:36pm

Best of the four in my opinion. It all fits together nicely with nothing to complicated or anything that falls apart, the lenticular Angel is great, + the Cherubs are dead cute!! 🙂

  • Doctor Stu

    July 26th, 2014 - 6:20pm

Wow that’s great both sets for £15

  • Doctor Stu

    July 26th, 2014 - 6:19pm

OMG don’t do this to me I’m getting more and more jealous

  • thestormthatwaits

    July 26th, 2014 - 6:15pm

Looks great! Will look at home with the new Amy and a couple weeping angels scattered around!

  • JoePlaysGames

    July 10th, 2014 - 5:32pm

This is a horrible set. I will still get it but the horrible photoshopped in Weeping Angels in the background dont even fit in.

    • HalfPintOfInnes

      July 26th, 2014 - 6:34pm

That section is actually a lenticular panel, like the Ultra Rare Battles in Time cards it changes as you move it, there’s 3 imaages of angels, it’s rather nice in person!
