Should also do classic ones for Jon through to Sylvester and have two Tom ones (Vol 1: 12 – 15, vol 2: 16-18)

Why? All the material has already been released. Its a straight repackaging job.

If they’re as quick with this as they are with the David Tennant set it should be out in 2017

They should do boxsets for Doctors 3-7 now, seeing as they have all been released onto DVD now.

8 would literally be just be max 2 discs (unless they include Night of the Doctor

    9 would be just Series 1 re-released.

And 1-2 still have nearly 100 episodes missing.

It’s a nice set for anyone who hasn’t gotten any of Matt’s run yet. Unfortunately, I just got the Series 1-7 Blu Ray set last year. I was hoping that we’d get the 50th Anniversary set you guys in the UK are getting. Instead, they’re putting the bonus disc you guys are getting in that set in this set over here. It appears they’re substituting “The Science of Doctor Who” special for the two-part “Death of the Doctor” story from “The Sarah Jane Adventures.”

You get far more extras than we get in the UK, so you can’t really complain can you? No sign of the 90 minute version of the 2013 Proms on any of UK releases! It’s the UK that should get everything first anyway! It is a UK programme, paid for by UK license payers after all!

Not that I have plans to buy this – but it is annoying me that there are two Supreme and two Eternal Daleks on the cover… there is only one of each in the show.

There’s only one Eternal Dalek on the cover. The other I believe is an orange Scientist Dalek.

    • Sam Richard Bentley

      August 22nd, 2014 - 1:00pm

Pretty sure it’s Yellow. I could be wrong, but from what I can see that one at the far back is yellow. Nonetheless thetr should only be one Supreme.

    • A New Dalek Paradigm

      August 22nd, 2014 - 1:20pm

There is definitely 2 Supreme’s and Eternal’s on that cover. The Scientist is no where to be seen.

    • StormOfOncomers

      August 22nd, 2014 - 1:40pm

Eternal has black globes, Scientist has grey ones.
I’m pretty certain that’s a Scientist back there.
Still doesn’t excuse showing 2 Supreme Daleks though…

    • Trenzalore

      August 22nd, 2014 - 1:47pm

I don’t think there’s just one Supreme Dalek so it isn’t a huge problem but I would have thought they’d have put two Drones there instead.

    • Sam Richard Bentley

      August 23rd, 2014 - 9:48am

Of course there is only one Supreme! He is the leader of the Daleks, there is only one! Why would you have two supreme Daleks? They’d just bicker about who was the true leader of the Daleks all the time. xD

    • Trenzalore

      August 26th, 2014 - 6:35pm

They’ve been in many different stories, this suggests they are leaders of ranks or specific operations. Not forgetting the many other supreme Daleks we’ve seen throughout who history.
Of course I could be wrong, this is just my guess from what we’ve seen.

Its down to the American publisher being a 3rd party (warner brothers I believe). It would be down to them id assume. Don’t understand why people get angry about these sets. Its just a repackaging of the original releases. All been released before. If it had exclusive stuff id agree but its all stuff that’s available already. It may look nice but I buy something for the content not how pretty it looks

It’s because it’s his trademark costume from series 5, 6 and 7 so it’s the outfit that most people associate with matt smith

    • Grey and Blue

      August 21st, 2014 - 5:24pm

Its not dark blue. Its a custom dark Purple Tweed frock coat. I do prefer the long purple look to the tweed I agree but the tweed was used for longest therefore its the most iconic. Same with capaldi if his costume changes from series to series everyone will remember the Crombie with the red lining.

No. If you look closely, you’ll see that it says “series 5” on the open page, even more closely and you will see two lists underneath each disc. Episodes and Special Features.
Weeping Angel = Eleventh Hour, Beast Below, Victory of the Daleks and the Time of Angels.
Silurian Restac = Flesh and Stone, the Vampires of Venice, Amy’s Choice, The Hungry Earth, Cold Blood
Vincent = Vincent and the Doctor, the Lodger, the Pandorica Opens, the Big Bang.

Therefore ALL of the discs must have a character/characters from at least one of their episodes.
