Clara and the Doctor: Linked through time in the most impossible way!
Clara ‘Oswin’ Oswald: The Impossible Girl. She and the Doctor first met on the Dalek Asylum planet where she claimed to have been fending off Dalek attacks for a year, making soufflés – where did she get the milk and eggs? Oswin agreed to deactivate the forcefield around the planet, but when human the Doctor went to rescue her, he discovered the terrible truth. Oswin wasn’t a girl any longer, but actually an insane Dalek who, unable to cope with her conversion, had retreated into a fantasy world. Oswin fulfilled her promise of helping the Doctor, telling him to “Run. Run, you clever boy, and remember…” They will meet again… and again.
The Doctor, appalled by his inability to save Amy and Rory from the Weeping Angels, retreated to Earth and hid himself and the TARDIS away from the Universe. Another chance but ill-fated meeting with Clara Oswald in snowy Victorian London pulled him out of his solitude and set him back on a new adventure…. to find the Impossible Girl!
Set details:
Presented here in the Impossible Set, together but apart, are the Eleventh Doctor in his iconic Victorian frock coat from The Snowmen, and Oswin Oswald, the Impossible Girl, in her iconic red dress from Asylum of the Daleks.
The Doctor’s outfit features his top hat and jacket with fur and brocade detailing. Oswin’s outfit is a one piece red dress with her soufflé-making accessory belt.
The set is presented in a unique double sided foil embellished SDCC collector pack with ‘peephole’ Dalek eye window on one side and a Victorian winter vista on the other.
The 11th Doctors head can be swapped with the aged 11th Doctors head from the Time of the Doctor set.

July 31st, 2014 - 7:39amWhen I first seen this I thought it was 3.75″. Main reason I didn’t expect a set like this!
I hope the Doctors head is a pop off.

July 31st, 2014 - 8:16ami thought it was 3.75 too
The Moment
July 31st, 2014 - 7:13amWhy all of a sudden are they releasing all these new 5″ figures? I like the new figures and all and I will hopefully get this set, But I find it a bit strange… Personally, I thought the war doctor was a one off thing to wrack up a bit of money for CO but I guess not!

July 31st, 2014 - 7:22amThese are Underground Toys Commissions not marketed by Character
this is only the 3rd “new” set in 8 months.
Its also probably much cost effective to gear a factory up to a “Doctor Who ” which might mean we a get a few sets closer together
Tom
July 31st, 2014 - 6:38amI must say that I prefer this action figure set to the Time of the Doctor Set, firstly for £30 you are getting two figures instead of just one ? Secondly I feel that 5 inch figure set like this just goes to show how much I prefer this range to the 3.75 new series size ? Here is a very easy dr who question for all (well classic) dr who fans to try and answer ? What connects the 1st, 4th and the 7th doctors ? What did they all have in common ? 🙂 Tom.

July 31st, 2014 - 3:35amHopefully this is a WIP. Because 11 had checkered trousers in that episode, not red skinny jeans

July 31st, 2014 - 2:07amSorry. Oh My God! Wow! Just – Wow. :0
Anyone else just clicked on this page and freaked out. Ah I must get the money off of my mum so I can save up. Or ask her brother to pre-order. Can not keep up with all these releases. Minds – Blown. Blimey so glad were getting a Clara a very nice gorgeous Clara if I say so myself. I got few pics with a clara cosplayer I was the dr. Wow. I love this set. Nice to have another 11th. This and the TOTD are my main priority to buy. Need to save up. How much anyway? When?

July 31st, 2014 - 12:58amGreat looking set… but, really Character, what is going on? Is it 5″ or 3.75″ it was classics in the 5 scale and new series in the 3 and then they release a Time of the Doctor set in 5″ and a Day of the Doctor set in 3.75″ and now this set
In 5″. Trying to confuse your customers? Job done. This is making it very difficult to purchase with confidence and as for uneven looking collections, well, they’ve even surpassed the old BBC VHS covers for that! Please sort it out and decide one way or another!
James A
July 31st, 2014 - 2:24amThe BBC classifies “Classic” as “Not current”, in this casing being that Matt Smith is no longer the ‘current’ Doctor. So now Doctors 9-11 (series 1-7) are now considered part of the classic series as they are not current Doctors.
Anonymous
July 31st, 2014 - 9:40amMatt Smith’s time on the show is still considered “current”, the “classic” definition is from who is producing the show, not who is starring in it, so it is Steven Moffat you need to look at, not who is currently the Doctor.

July 31st, 2014 - 12:48amGreat looking set. 🙂

July 31st, 2014 - 12:30amThat hat looks like actual fabric
Sebatron
July 31st, 2014 - 12:14amJust ordered the TOTD set a few weeks ago, then this comes out? Brilliant! 🙂
Might customize Clara in 21st Century costume, but yeah! CAN’T WAIT!!!

When The Doctor Was Me
July 31st, 2014 - 12:13amAlso it kidda annoys me thats it says the doctor and clara! When that is Oswin!
ThePixelatedDalek
July 31st, 2014 - 12:10amIt would be perfect if they would remove the line going across Clara’s neck – You can’t move the head anyway because of the hair so why spoil the figure? I hope tey improve it for the final release!
Doctor Stu
July 31st, 2014 - 12:29amYeh but the figure can turn its head a little bit
SonicTheHedgehogRules
July 31st, 2014 - 12:41amWow, I didn’t even notice the line until you pointed it out.
I’ll be honest, doesn’t bother me in the sightest. It’s a toy at the end of the day, and I’d rather this Owsin figure not end up like the remote control 2008 Supreme, who’s head does not turn at all. Well, for me anyway.
Donnie
July 31st, 2014 - 1:01amYeah, it looks horrible. Think CO need to embrace the ball joint, even those little Star Wars figures have them!
Exiled in Geeksville
July 31st, 2014 - 12:03amI will be getting this at some point soon, But I wouldn’t mind a Clara in a look that she actually traveled with the Doctor in in the 5″ scale.
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
July 30th, 2014 - 11:58pmi think theyll see how this does then release proper clara then half of us will think we shouldve waited!!
Davide Edinburgh
July 30th, 2014 - 11:56pmW w w w what? Am I dreaming? Oh my God, what a surprise..is it true? Honestly, this is…is…amazing!
Exterminator
July 30th, 2014 - 11:29pmThe Dr looks like Willy Wonka!
I still love it though. I’ve ordered mine. 🙂
Sam Richard Bentley
July 30th, 2014 - 11:03pmYou would have thought the first variant of Clara in 5″ they would release would be the same costume as the 3.75″ figures – seeing as that was clearly the body scan they have already.
Of course, I’m not getting this set – but I am pleasantly surprised to see that for the first Clara they didn’t release something ‘obvious’.
Dalekmus Prime
July 30th, 2014 - 11:02pmIt looks nice. It’ll be good for the 5-inch collectors to be able to round off the 11th Doctor era, so the 3.75 inch line will revolve around the Doctor’s second regeneration cycle.
Anonymous
July 30th, 2014 - 11:01pmnice but why have two figures from not the same episodes ?
Anonymous
July 30th, 2014 - 11:02pmIt wouldn’t be the first time.
Sam Richard Bentley
July 30th, 2014 - 11:05pmI don’t think there are many out there who want a Victorian Clara figure. Let’s be honest – Oswin Clara sort of looks like she is in relatively normal attire. Victorian Clara would stick out like a saw thumb. Also – the dress would be very big, and would use a lot of the plastic. They may release it 0 but I can’t see it happening personally.
Sam Richard Bentley
July 30th, 2014 - 11:07pm*sore thumb
ahunter8056
July 30th, 2014 - 11:16pmI for one would like to see a ‘Snowman’ Clara figure. I’d much prefer her barmaid outfit though as opposed to her governess outfit.
Exiled in Geeksville
July 31st, 2014 - 12:00amOoh Yes Barmaid Clara, please!
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
July 31st, 2014 - 12:05amI agree with sam richard bentley!
Dalek 95
July 31st, 2014 - 8:03amI agree with Sam, I’m guessing the dress would be bigger than Idris’ and I mean seriously I think it couldn’t even stand up with the plastic dress pulling the figure down, for a starter no one could ever stand the Idris figure up for more than 2 seconds my opinion personally would be that that is a figure not worth releasing at all, as like Sam said it would simply stick out like a sore thumb.
Raggedy Man
July 30th, 2014 - 10:40pmI’ll be getting this for sure. So happy.
Dominic Kane
July 30th, 2014 - 10:37pmYAY!!! 5 INCH CLARA!!! 🙂 😀 😮 pre orded it cant wait for it!
Javert
July 30th, 2014 - 10:15pmThe Clara figure has an amazing likeness to Samantha Barks (Les Misérables)! Might have to get one to make an Éponine figure! 😀
Judooning
July 30th, 2014 - 9:43pmI believe that head sculpt on the 11th Dr is the same one used as the Fez 11th Dr/Stetson Dr. Hence the hat…easy to produce the hat that way.
Anonymous
July 30th, 2014 - 10:07pmThe Fex was sculpted straight on, so it can’t be that head.
Judooning
July 30th, 2014 - 10:13pmDefinitely the Stetson head then.
EndlessTimelord
July 30th, 2014 - 9:41pmAWESOME 😀

July 30th, 2014 - 9:39pmI wonder if the shirt is removable?
Matthew
July 30th, 2014 - 10:14pmRemovable shirt and head would be perfect tbh but I doubt it 🙁
Anonymous
July 30th, 2014 - 10:36pmwhat do you mean removable shirt? and for who?
Dalek 95
July 31st, 2014 - 8:06amI really hope your not going to swap the Doctor’s shirt with Clara/ Oswin’s, and no it isn’t unless you want to pull it off like your life depended on it.
Still Not Ginger
July 30th, 2014 - 9:38pmis this 5 inch?

July 30th, 2014 - 9:39pmI think so

The Holographic Doctor
July 30th, 2014 - 9:20pmI want to get two Oswin figures so I can customise one 😀
13Doctor
July 30th, 2014 - 9:19pmI think we need a couple more Clara figures and a DOTD set with a better 10th doctor figure, a bad wolf rose, an 11th in fez, a Clara and a war doctor. That would be the best figure set ever!!! 😀 we also need a 5″ 12th in actual costume! 🙂
James A
July 30th, 2014 - 9:49pmYou can custom-make the DayDoctor 11th Doctor in Fez by sticking the Fez Doctor from the Pandorica CAB wave onto the Time collectors set Doctor!!
13Doctor
July 30th, 2014 - 10:00pmYeah! I guess that would work! Although I think an updated head sculpt would look cooler for it!
Dalek 95
July 31st, 2014 - 8:07amTTOFTD 5″ set is already on this website, it has his proper costume with peter Capaldi swappable shirt and head. It was posted about 2 weeks ago.
Dalek 95
July 31st, 2014 - 8:08amSorry XD wrong comment, don’t you hate it when you do that!?
The Other
July 30th, 2014 - 9:12pmI wonder if the 11 body set in this set will have a removable head, so the body is interchangeable with the TOTD set aged (and hatless young) 11 head
Either way defo getting this!!!! 😀 😀 😀
It’s another fantastic 11 variant and a 5″ Clara!
Plus it’s much better value for money then the ridiculous TOTD set for the same price
Anonymous
July 30th, 2014 - 9:14pmWhy would you want the aged head? I could understand the normal one, but the aged one?
Stop that TARDIS
July 30th, 2014 - 9:16pmTo make up the regeration doctor from TOTD
Anonymous
July 30th, 2014 - 9:18pmBecause the doctor wore this outfit in TOTD and he was old wearing it at some points in the episode
The Other
July 30th, 2014 - 9:20pmStop that TARDIS is indeed right
it could make a regeneration 11 from TOTD
Stop that TARDIS
