Clara and the Doctor: Linked through time in the most impossible way!
Clara ‘Oswin’ Oswald: The Impossible Girl. She and the Doctor first met on the Dalek Asylum planet where she claimed to have been fending off Dalek attacks for a year, making soufflés – where did she get the milk and eggs? Oswin agreed to deactivate the forcefield around the planet, but when human the Doctor went to rescue her, he discovered the terrible truth. Oswin wasn’t a girl any longer, but actually an insane Dalek who, unable to cope with her conversion, had retreated into a fantasy world. Oswin fulfilled her promise of helping the Doctor, telling him to “Run. Run, you clever boy, and remember…” They will meet again… and again.
The Doctor, appalled by his inability to save Amy and Rory from the Weeping Angels, retreated to Earth and hid himself and the TARDIS away from the Universe. Another chance but ill-fated meeting with Clara Oswald in snowy Victorian London pulled him out of his solitude and set him back on a new adventure…. to find the Impossible Girl!
Set details:
Presented here in the Impossible Set, together but apart, are the Eleventh Doctor in his iconic Victorian frock coat from The Snowmen, and Oswin Oswald, the Impossible Girl, in her iconic red dress from Asylum of the Daleks.
The Doctor’s outfit features his top hat and jacket with fur and brocade detailing. Oswin’s outfit is a one piece red dress with her soufflé-making accessory belt.
The set is presented in a unique double sided foil embellished SDCC collector pack with ‘peephole’ Dalek eye window on one side and a Victorian winter vista on the other.
The 11th Doctors head can be swapped with the aged 11th Doctors head from the Time of the Doctor set.

July 30th, 2014 - 7:15pmTypical, I spent £100.00 Meeting the Lovely Jenna Coleman and John Hurt at London Film and Comic Con 3 Weeks ago, Spent £185.00 on Tickets for the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular at Wembley Stadium London Next Year including the Platinum Merchandise Pack, £31.00 Yesterday on the 50th Anniversary Collector’s Set Blu Ray and to top it off this gets Announced and Yesterday Sledgehammer Games decide to Release the Advanced Warfare Atlas Limited and Atlas Pro Editions of their Game! This is still Great though! A 5 Inch Clara?! Count Me in! 😀

July 30th, 2014 - 7:18pmFascinating. Wonder if the head on the Doctor figure is removable? That way you could combine it with the Time of the Doctor set to make a screen-accurate elderly 11th Doctor. = )

July 30th, 2014 - 7:19pmWhoops – that was meant to be a new comment rather than a reply to this specific one. Apologies – I know what I was saying didn’t have much to do with your post!

July 30th, 2014 - 7:20pmYeah but the old doctor wore a bow tie not tie.

July 30th, 2014 - 7:21pmContinued
The Eleventh Doctor Figure from The Snowmen also looks Great though, wondering if we will see a Time of The Doctor Version of this Figure, unless they have included an Alternate Waistcoat and Bow Tie Piece as an Easter Egg?! Not an actual one! LOL! If not, I spy with My little Eye that we could be seeing a Twin Pack of that and a Nightmare in Silver Cyberman in the Future?

Also, because this Figure previously only existed as an Unarticulated Prototype if Character and Underground Toys have paid to have The Second Doctor in Fur Coat Figure Articulated so that it could be Released as a Figure? I don’t want to get people’s hopes up though. There are so many possibilities of Variants for Clara now that they have Released an Oswin Figure of her, a Name of The Doctor, Bells of Saint John and Hide Variants of her to name a few.
booboo
July 30th, 2014 - 7:28pmwould surprise me at all if the see fur coated troughton and a yeti now
expected the unexpected i think from now on
WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby
July 30th, 2014 - 7:31pmAgreed, otherwise if Character and Underground Toys didn’t see the 5 Inch Figures still making Money they wouldn’t have made more.
the astronaut of death
July 30th, 2014 - 7:32pmThey did say a yeti would cost to much money to make
As it is just big chunks as plastic
WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby
July 30th, 2014 - 7:35pmYes, but they said the same thing about a Victorian 11th Doctor and look at what We’ve got? I think we should all by now that nothing is what it seems with Character and the supposed “Dead 5 Inch Line.”
dalek eternal
July 30th, 2014 - 7:13pmare oswins legs the same as amy’s they look the same except for the shoes. btw I refer to the figure as oswin because that’s what she was called in this ep although technically it’s still clara
The Twelfth Doctor
July 30th, 2014 - 7:13pmIf I had chosen the set, Clara would have been in her ‘The Rings of Akhaten’ costume, but overall, it’s a lovely set.

July 30th, 2014 - 7:12pmYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS A MUST BUY FROM ME!!!!!!!! now what was that job I saw? lol!

July 30th, 2014 - 7:10pmI will probably buy oswin on her own on ebay 🙂
the astronaut of death
July 30th, 2014 - 7:13pmIt might not even appear on its own on eBay

RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
July 30th, 2014 - 7:28pmi might get both and not open, as ill only use doctor in purple if they make a 5inch clara from 7B
the astronaut of death
July 30th, 2014 - 6:59pmI just realised something
For everyone who dose not like the fact that in the TOTD figure the aged 11th Dr head dose not suit the body We can now just put that head on this body
The Twelfth Doctor
July 30th, 2014 - 7:04pmBut he wore a bow tie in TTOTD , not a tie.
the astronaut of death
July 30th, 2014 - 7:09pmWell it is good enough
It is dose not matter about some bowtie
At least it can be more accurate now 🙂
The Twelfth Doctor
July 30th, 2014 - 7:12pmAnd the head on 11 may not be removable in this set…
the astronaut of death
July 30th, 2014 - 7:15pmYeah but that’s how custom figures are made most of the time there is a way to remove the head even if its not made that way
So I imagine we can still do it
the astronaut of death
July 30th, 2014 - 7:17pmSo I think it will be ok 😉
Judooning
July 30th, 2014 - 6:59pmI’m astonished that people are ACTUALLY complaining!!! We now have a 5″ Clara that has been the number 1 wanted figure for some time now. What will it take to please some people?
I think they look fantastic and I have pre-ordered my set!

July 30th, 2014 - 6:56pmAnyone know what the cost of postage for this and the Time of the Doctor set to Ireland would be?
StormOfOncomers

drwhofan209753

Stop That TARDIS
July 30th, 2014 - 6:36pmITS 29.99 PN fbi
James A
July 30th, 2014 - 9:53pmMakes sense, guessing it costs £15 to produce/sell a single 5″ figure now. More reasonable than The TIme of the Doctor set
Anonymous
July 30th, 2014 - 6:34pm3.75 or 5inch
Davidscustoms11
July 30th, 2014 - 6:38pm5 inch. the detail on the doctors head is minuscule.
PheebsegirlFA
July 30th, 2014 - 6:34pmAre Clara’s shoes wedges?
PheebsegirlFA
July 30th, 2014 - 7:33pmU know like the 3.75″ one’s shoes oh and I want this 4 Christmas if its still on sale
INJUSTICE
July 30th, 2014 - 6:31pmI need to get more money out!!
Davidscustoms11
July 30th, 2014 - 6:28pmTo be honest I’m not happy with either of them. They look like bid bang pow figures (well the 11th doctor does anyway) and when it comes to display you can’t display the TOTD episode or DOTD episode because of the clara variant and the head of the 11th doctor I can’t say anything, I don’t know what to say. If anything I’m disappointed at most. And finally £30, £30. First they give us the TOTD set which honestly is better than this and it’s £30 so that £60 if you buy both. Im really happy with getting the odd 5 inch figure but this is just rushe
Anonymous
July 30th, 2014 - 6:31pmHa…I thought they WERE big bang pow figures.
Anonymous
July 30th, 2014 - 7:08pmbif bang pow dont make doctor who anymore 🙁
MickeySmith07
July 30th, 2014 - 6:19pmOMG! I love this set. I am saving up for a Mac but stuff keeps coming out i want to buy. I can let this persuade me though. Just had to double check but the arms and legs are tweaked from the ace figure.
Radburn
July 30th, 2014 - 6:18pmYay! Pre-Ordered…
the astronaut of death
July 30th, 2014 - 6:16pmThis truley is an impossible set ! 🙂
Doctor13
July 30th, 2014 - 6:14pmCan’t wait for this, it looks great! What are the chances of getting a couple of series 8 5″ figures? I’d be surprised now if we didn’t get a 12th doctor in costume and another Clara but what about other characters?
Matthew
July 30th, 2014 - 6:09pmOswin is by far the best incarnation of Clara. I am buying this with the money from my Birthday I have just had, and shall continue to buy all 5″ Clara figures!!
Cammythechangeling
July 30th, 2014 - 6:05pmI might get this just might…
StetsonDoctor
July 30th, 2014 - 6:05pmI’m totally overwhelmed. Just when you thought it was the end of 5″, this comes along (not that I’m complaining 😀 )
I’ve still got Asylum Dalek, Genesis Dalek and Tenth Doctor from 3.75″ Wave 3A to catch up on, plus the Dalek Ship, not to mention the upcoming Time of the Doctor and Asylum of the Dalek sets…I’m gonna have a LOT of money to save!! 😆
rycbar123
July 30th, 2014 - 6:07pmi need to sell some of my games to get thus
rycbar123
July 30th, 2014 - 6:08pmoops i wasnt meant to reply
SonicTheHedgehogRules
July 30th, 2014 - 6:05pmThis really feels random on Character Options’ part. Ah well, can’t really complain too much, everyone finally get’s a 5″ Clara, and a new variant of 11. Now maybe we can get a jacketless 11th from Journey to the Center of the TARDIS and I think everyone will have their fill of 11th variants.
Inspector Spacetime
July 30th, 2014 - 6:48pmI’d actually prefer a figure of the series 6 green long coat.
SonicTheHedgehogRules
July 30th, 2014 - 7:17pmWell that too, but they had the opportunity to do that quite easily during the Series 6 run of figures, All they had to do was make a new jacket for the Stetson 11th Doctor. Not too hard.
1
July 30th, 2014 - 6:05pmI like it but I think this the war doctor and the time of the doctor set need to also be released in 3.75 scale as well.
Danny
July 30th, 2014 - 6:05pmIs it for pre-order or buy now?
StetsonDoctor
July 30th, 2014 - 6:06pm30th August (my bday 🙂 🙂 )

Stop That TARDIS
July 30th, 2014 - 6:01pmi love how theres loads of us fancying/girling over this set XD
100000BC
July 30th, 2014 - 6:00pmGiven that there is also the Time of the Doctor set, I may pass on this if there is a normal Clara figure released. Two fairly obscure costumes in one set or two more recognisable costumes in separate sets – I’d rather have companion Clara than an alternate Clara (if you know what I mean) and I’d rather have 11 in a version of his regular 7b costume than a [fairly similar-ish] costume only worn in two stories and my money (particularly after recently buying 4 classic figures and a DVD box set) doesn’t stretch as far as buying every figure…
