Guy The Zygon
August 16th, 2013 - 9:56amThere is no Terror of the Zygons forum yet, for which this comment would be better suited (happy for you to move it there when the time comes), but I always thought too much fuss was made of Broton… One of the other Zygons was far more terrifying and alien – the one which lurched at Sarah with an open mouth at the end of episode 1! This same Zygon made it onto the TyPhoo tea card of 1976, yet photos of it are very scarce. I am delighted to see their return, but somewhat disappointed the new Zygon seems to have been fashioned on Broton! 😀

August 17th, 2013 - 10:20pmStaying on topic, when is footage of Tom Baker on Disneytime in full Who costume (screened in August 1975) likely to surface on DVD? The only clip which ever appears is of the end, when a hand passes the Doctor a note in the cinema – he says “It’s from the Brigadier – he’s in trouble again!” and runs up the stairs… but there were other clips between the various cartoons – I once saw a really ropey copy on YouTube -as it was shown just days before Terror of the Zygons, a perfect opportunity to have it as an Easter egg would be on this release!

August 9th, 2013 - 10:28amThe cover has really been improved from the original (not the background just being one colour)
Also can’t wait to see the animations of episodes 2&3!

August 9th, 2013 - 11:08pmLooking forward to this too.
After getting Invasion (which reminded me of the spy movie Ipcress File due to the fantastic music), can’t wait to see more animated episodes filling gaps – they did a great job with Invasion.

August 7th, 2013 - 4:01pmThis DVD looks brilliant! Probably the one I want the most from the Troughton era, even though I am not a fan of the black and white episodes.
I am considering on buying Revisitations 1 and the Beneath The Surface box set. I don’t have any Classic DVDs (I used to have An Unearthly Child but I can’t find it!) so do you think those DVDs are good to start with?

August 9th, 2013 - 11:00pmI have all three Revisitations box sets and recommend them to anyone. Good stories – from gritty sci fi in the Caves of Androzani to victorian gothic Talons of Weng Chiang, entertaining dvd extras, great value, plus you meet several Doctors.
If you like Ice Warriors then you might like Revisitations 2 where they feature in The Seeds of Death.
The Beneath the Surface box a fun choice, I just finished watching recently. Love the Sea Devils story, the Silurian story was entertaining. The Warriors of the Deep story was not as good but still fun.
Exterminator
August 7th, 2013 - 2:04pmAny body else notice how miraculous it is that the ice warriors returned in series 7, just in time for the 2nd Dr ice warriors DVD release.
The next classic DVD will be the 4th Dr’s terror of the Zygons and guess what, there back in the 50th anniversary episode.
