Doctor Who The Five Doctors Audio CD

Available to order from www.amazon.co.uk

An unabridged reading of this classic novelisation of Doctor Who’s special 20th Anniversary TV adventure, featuring the Doctor in each of his first five incarnations.

Each one has been removed from his time-stream and – with one unfortunate exception – brought to the Death Zone on Gallifrey. There they, along with an array of their loyal former companions, encounter numerous deadly obstacles including Daleks, Cybermen, Yeti, the Master and a fiendish set of puzzles.

Who is the ultimate enemy they must all unite to defeat? Based on Terrance Dicks’s epic TV adventure, first broadcast in 1983, The Five Doctors offered readers a chance to turn the clock back and meet some old friends – and some old enemies.

As much as I like Culshaw I’m a little disappointed that he’s reading this release. I’d rather that it had been someone involved in the production, possibly Mr Davison, for this important anniversary story.

I’ve never really been one for audio books but I watched The Five Doctors the other day and reminded myself how awesome it is. So I may give this one a go. Plus John Culshaw is reading it. Can’t be bad can it?

I only know Culshaw from his Baker impersonation. Can he do the others OK? Otherwise I’d rather it have been Peter Davison since he was the current Doctor.

I wonder if Jon Culshaw will impersonate all 5 Doctors. I’ve only heard his Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker impressions. Very good they are too.

i hope this is a foiled, cover insert. that would be a lovley nod to the original novel.

Like Martin Shiver said above,a well read book, and mine is HB and the whole book has left its cover, and is hot gun glued back in. πŸ˜‰

really looking forward to this one, and Decembers TENTH PLANET with the original (mondosian) cybermen

Love this my target copy is held together with cello tape due to the number of times I read it as a kid and looking forward to an audio version.
