September 5th, 2013 - 9:05pmWhere are the Confidentails? On BluRay they should have been easy to fit on. Is there a problem with getting the full length editions out on either DVD or BluRay.

September 5th, 2013 - 4:20pmI’ve got Series 6 on Blu-ray already (the limited edition Silence one) and have an order placed for the BBC Shop-exclusive Series 7 box-set, so I’m not sure I’ll get this. I’m so happy it’s being released (as long as there’s a noticeable increase in picture quality). I’ll certainly buy Series 1-4 on Blu-ray if they’re released separately.
That Random Whovian
September 5th, 2013 - 3:57pmOr you could purchase Series 6 for a relatively low price, and then watch Series 1-5 on Netflix!
Andy
September 6th, 2013 - 1:26pmSome people want to own them.
Some bloke
September 5th, 2013 - 3:34pmDo we know if they’ll be releasing series 1-4 on blu-ray separately?

Some bloke
September 5th, 2013 - 3:45pmI hope they do. I’ve got series 5 and the tennant specials on blu-ray so considering that, I may get this, depending on the packaging and case designs… I’m a bit picky when it comes to stuff like that
Cpl Hicks
September 5th, 2013 - 2:37pmDoes anyone know if the BBC are offering another 10% code as this will bring them down a little?

September 5th, 2013 - 12:34pmSo £169.99 at the BBC Shop that works out at £5.86 a disc, sounds alot but considering this is a 29 disc set it ain’t that bad.

Moodbeam
September 5th, 2013 - 3:25pmIt’s not really necessary on DVD as these series are all available in that format already. The reason we have this release is because they’ve upscaled series 1-4 to HD. If they hadn’t managed to get them in a BR release then we wouldn’t have this set.
Still not GINGER
September 5th, 2013 - 5:19pmI hope it comes out on DVD, because this would be a perfect gift for someone I know, but they don’t have a Blu-Ray player.
UnitedGamers2013
September 5th, 2013 - 6:05pmI have emailed bbc shop about a DVD release of the series 1-7 box set. They replied.
Dear UnitedGamers2013,
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately the Doctor Who series 1-7 box set is not currently available on DVD through BBC Shop and we are unaware of any plans to release this title in the near future.
BBC Shop is committed to giving customers access to the complete range of products published by BBC Worldwide and in order to view the complete range please go to bbcshop.com

September 6th, 2013 - 6:35amNo need for a DVD release. If this is anything like the USA box set it’s just a cardboard box containing the separate single boxed releases. You can already buy all these series in single format on DVD.
Moodbeam
September 5th, 2013 - 12:19pmThe price for this is ridiculous and it doesn’t even include the sonic remote packaged in the American set! I think I’ll be waiting until series 1-4 are released individually or as a set apart from series 5 onwards before I spend any money on blu-ray versions of those series. I already have series 5+ on BR so there’s no way I’m paying out for them again. Still, it’s a nice set for those who haven’t yet invested in the series on DVD.
The Big Blue Box
September 5th, 2013 - 12:08pmWow. I would get this if I didn’t already have Series 1 -4 and 5 and 6. I’m sure it’ll be a pretty big box.
Connor
September 5th, 2013 - 11:44amI really hope this retains all the other special features such as the Confidentials from the DVD releases!
Guff
September 5th, 2013 - 1:55pmShould do, the press release says:
“Throw in the new Doctor Who: The Complete Seventh Series Blu-ray set along with hours and hours of bonus features from the past collections”
Though I was hoping for some deleted scenes from series 1 & 6 🙁
