A good idea is a best of collection showing all 7 doctors in 7 stories. Keys of marinus,The Mind robber, inferno, deadly assassin, caves of andronzani, attack of the cybermen and remembrance of the daleks. Plus special features

I don’t really see the need for a best of collection any more. I don’t see the casual and new audience paying about £20 for a set of stories now it’s all up on iPlayer/tubi. As it would be more aimed at the newer casual fans I don’t really see why they would include extras. As it would be a strict repackaging I also doubt they would include stories that haven’t been remastered for blu ray yet.

They need to animate Marco Polo first before it goes anywhere near the season 1 collection. That’s a 2 year job minimum. Plus after it comes out they have to recoup their money before it goes in the collection which means it needs time to do that. Based upon the animations seemingly having a 18 month wait before they can use for iPlayer and other things it’s looking like a 3 and a half year turn around hypothetically before they can use an animated Marco Polo in a season 1 release if they started animating it now. Most likely Marco Polo will be photo constructions. Considering how many releases that are remaining I simply feel there isn’t time to animate it regardless of how far back they leave that release. It’s not going to happen any time soon anyway as restoration hadn’t started as of September 2023 and as I understand it they don’t quite know yet what they can and can’t do about the an unearthly child situation.

Getting a bit worried as no sign of dispatch for my season 17 from hmv. Usually they dispatch Friday before release?

Really hope we get Season 13 on Blu Ray this year as it’s Toms 90th Birthday and the 50th Anniversary of his debut as the GOAT 4th Doctor

Surprised it’s only £32.99. I assumed since they jacked up the price of the Limiteds, the standard prices would rise too.

Good, glad kept at this price, especially as there’s been a 2 year wait for it to be released…

To begin with, yes, but the previous three standard releases were only 20 or 21 months after the limited editions. Looks like they’re back to a 2 year gap again.

Well to be fair, the limiteds have only had 2 releases this year as well.
I wont buy the B/W 1960s releases as the limited, unless there are new CG effects. I do buy the others and double dip before the standards are released and sell on the limiteds. I didnt bother with season 9 limited as there wasnt anything other than the behind the sofas to tempt me. So ill stick with the DVDs until the eventual release.
