The limited-edition version boasts an exclusive ‘electro plated’ finish making it look like real polished steel and brass. It also boasts two modes of operation, Open and Closed, as well as five brand new and totally unique sound and light effects, with each accessed by a different button sequence. The Sonic comes in Regeneration style packaging with a sturdy mailer box.

I’ve contacted both Character Options and DHL and CO say DHL have it but DHL say CO still need to give it to them, the tracking says that it’s delayed and hasn’t updated since yesterday and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday.

Guess we have to wait.
It’s been a bit hectic for Character, what with ordering being chaotic and their site going down.
We just need to be a bit patient, and we’ll all get our sonics.

Contacted dhl and they said they haven’t got any record of it in their network and it hasn’t been collected. They told me to contact sender. So really don’t know what’s happening at the moment.

Booboo’s always reliable. If they don’t know something, they’re clear about not knowing, rather than misleading by presenting guesses or assumptions as fact. This site’s not some new, fly-by-night, opinionated click-bait trap: It’s one of the most respected sources for Doctor Who merch available, and it’s been that for a looong time. Without incentive, this site’s basically as reliable as it gets for this stuff anywhere online. Highly trusted.

July 26th, 2023 - 12:29pmI know that people feel much more relaxed when they have dispatch emails and confirmations of orders, but it seems that this is ‘The Character Way’.
While I can’t speak for anyone else, I’ve barely ever had much in the way of confirmation when ordering items but they always turn up.
Obviously, it’s different strokes for different folks, but we see this time and time again, I say don’t worry too much, it will arrive and it will be brilliant. Have a cuppa and try to relax.

I called them yesterday and they said there’s a bit of a que due to the rush of everyone trying to get it. They are sending them out in batches. If you have you’re PayPal email, then you’ll receive one of the first batch

July 26th, 2023 - 10:52amGoing off what people are saying elsewhere, it looks like there might be a slight delay with one of the batches they’ve sent out. DHL are sending emails saying that people’s orders that were “recieved” at their depo, are not “not recieved”. So maybe they were jumping the gun a bit.
However I did receive a separate tracking number for what seems to be another order. Even though I’ve already got my sonic. So unless they did accidentally send out too many sonics to the wrong people and have since recalled them before DHL physically loaded them onto vans etc. Because my second “phantom order” if you want to call it that, seems to have just stopped in its tracks.

Its a bit of a joke tbh, especially when you are one of the first to order. There is somthing weird going on with everyone’s orders here, especially the amount of people having the same DHL issue

July 26th, 2023 - 2:05pmWelcome to DHL. That’s how their system works. (From memory, Character will have registered a number on the system, which starts the timing – but the parcel hasn’t necessarily been handed over to DHL yet and so delivery on the purchased schedule obviously isn’t possible. )

July 26th, 2023 - 7:49amMine arrived yesterday around midday. Great service from Character and DHL. I really like this sonic. I saw on Twitter there is a red mode. So I was pressing the button more that 5 times and nothing happened. So I had a look at the battery compartment and saw a button. I pressed the main one and the other one together and I got green light and 11th’s sounds. I tried again a few times and got red mode, yellow mode (for me I see it as yellow as I am colour blind) . Then a I saw a video on youtube about the easter eggs about 20 minutes later

July 25th, 2023 - 11:06pmI always think this with a lot of “influencers” especially in this case as I haven’t seen many to any reviews of this. Only the one on YouTube. And we know for sure that more we’re most likely sent out. There was one YT vid of a woman just talking about it, not even a review just saying how she got it which isn’t even promotion really it’s stupid. A lot of influencers do promote things and link where to get them and whether you should buy or not but some don’t and yet they still get free stuff as well as being paid to show it off. Stupid.
